All these athletes this year are so lucky they were hand timed. Poor 2022 draft class will be back at the combine. It seems times this year were on average faster overall at all positions. I'm not going to do that research but I would imagine times once back at the combine in that environment will be overall slower next year.

I can’t believe schools don’t have a bad ass laser timer like is used at the combine. Just to keep the hand timed nonsense away. I know it looks better to say Caden ran a hand timed 4.38 instead whatever he actually runs but dang.

They do. We host the Texas Relays and UIL Championships. Unfortunately they are accurate.

I doubt schools want to use it on their athletes if other schools are using stopwatches. you want your players drafted as high as possible. if you can hand-time your guy at 4.38 there’s no reason to laser him at 4.68 and drop him down three rounds.

Yup, I highly doubt our guys used laser time like the combine. If I’m not mistaken even at a regular pro day our guys generally ran faster because of it than they did at the combine.

Fuck. As both a Horns fan and Broncos fan this sucks

#Broncos S Caden Sterns is expected to be out for the season with a torn patellar tendon, source says. The young DB had been primed for increased playing time before the unfortunate injury.

Gonna be a long season in Denver this year. Again.

Goodbye Football.Well, damn. Crazy to say it’s been 2+ years since the last time I stepped on a football field. I spent that time first trying to function like a healthy human being again… then fighting my way back to playing the greatest sport at a high level. As I sit here…

I thought he would have stuck a little longer in the NFL. Seems like he flashed a decent amount with the Broncos.

Tough business.

Never made it back from injury. Tore his patellar tendon a few years back.

Didn’t care for some of the things he did while on campus, but those were tough times for our country as a whole and there was a dearth of team leadership at the time. Still glad to call him a Longhorn. Wish him well in his next chapter.

Was he "affiliated" with the Eyes of Texas protest?

On the one hand, I thought that whole thing very ill-conceived.

On the other, I can't completely blame him, either.

Pretty sure he was a ringleader. Not sure it was just that though, I remember him saying or being rumored to have done a lot of shitty attitude stuff behind the scenes.

Granted he was playing for Herman so he should get a little leeway.

He probably would have been pretty good had he played under Sark/PK regime.
