If Bama's not going to use Ryan Williams, bring him to Austin.

Something seems fishy about the Williams situation at Bama, it reminds me of Worthy a couple of years ago.

That turned out to be an unknown broken bone in his hand, maybe the same for Williams or some kind of discipline problem, hard to understand it right now.

They won't punish a team for losing the conference championship game.

So what are you doing because Bama will be #10 entering that game most likely. Then let's say BYU wins. ACC and G5 eat up seed #11 and #12. Tech would have to drop all the way to #11 (from #4) behind a 3 loss Bama (who wouldnt drop at all) for them to miss the playoffs. I am not sure they leave out Tech in that scenario. Someone has to go.

Cal is giving SMU everything they want tonight in Berkeley

Ponies need a W to get into the ACC Championship, right?

Yep

Cal cashes in for an easy TD. 17-7.  Running does a back flip with a superhero landing. LOL

BTW, Cal might be talent rich on the sidelines.  I think I saw some sparkly blue skirts.  Wowza!

Galindo is the Bill Raftery of college football announcers

At least Raftery knows the game.

Galindo doesn't know baseball, football, or basketball.

He just rattles on and on about everything else that isn't relevant.

NBC announcers and 'ref' expert say that Nico started to slide short of the first down line and 1st down should be reversed.  Problem is he didn't slide at all.

Raftery often amuses me with his exuberance

well wtf do I know?  I guess a slide doesn't have to be feet first because they reversed it to 4th down.  UCLA kicks the fg to go up 10-7, 20 seconds until HT.

A slide should be feet-first if the QB wants protection, right? Officials should spot him down where he started to slide.

It looked to me like a half ass dive for extra yardage but he kind of just dropped onto his knees.  Where he came down he had the 1st but replay reversed it.

Targeting on bama but at least it's the 1st half so he won't miss time in a game that matters

Is it possible for taking the points to simultaneously be the right decision and also waving the white flag?

Cal has the worst rushing offense in FBS? They're pushing SMU around tonight

If the ponies want to stay in this, they better stop this drive.

This Iron Bowl is definitely not "Onions."

I guess I'm finally going to have to accept that depending on 3 of the worst teams I've seen this year - LSU, Auburn, and VA Tech - to win is not a good spot to be in.

I think it was the right choice. Game wouldve been over if they failed there.

I should have said I don't think they will punish an SEC or Big Ten team for losing their CCG.

Having said that, I think Tech is out if they lose next week.

Just a guess.

Im not sure with how they treated SMU last year. Dropping from #4 to out would be absolutely brutal.

Good point.

I don't know.

We're not in, so whatever.

That's a long fall from like #4 seed to out of the playoffs for losing a title game.
