September 7Sep 7 Andrew Luck has a big job ahead of him. Bringing in Frank Reich as interim coach was probably not a great first step.

September 7Sep 7 How the fuck we getting Pittsburgh @NYJ as our opening weekend kickoff game? LOLz. That's the best the AFC has at noon today? No Raiders game? No Dolphins? No Joe Cool?
September 7Sep 7 How about Dan Mullins’ island of mis-fit toys at UNLV! 20+ incoming 4-5 star backups from across the country to gel in year one. Barry Odem did leave behind some quality on the roster too. Right now UNLV and USF are at the top of the G5 chance to make the playoff. TXST, after beating UTSA yesterday, first home loss in quite a while for the Runners, is not far behind. Hook’em!!!

Inexperience, not as if the Arizona State, Dillingham, and DC Brian Ward had a tangible learning point where being overly aggressive on defense and leaving no help over the top of a multiple receiver formation late in a game bit the Sun Devils in the arse and cost them a big win........ Oh wait, yeah, and after watching them fuck up the call and the entire way the secondary handle the route combination I checked and saw that their cornerback coach is no other than Bryan Carrington who had never actually coached a position group until given the chance by Dillingham. Bold move, most HC's will hide an inexperienced coach at either running backs or maybe the second receiver coach.

Google tells me that when the SEC reinstated their ability to use cowbells, there were conditions on when they could be used: they ring those f'n things incessantly, absolutely during plays. who the fuck decided it was OK for them to go fucking ham with those things? The only time they are not allowed to ring them is from when the center steps over the ball until the play is whistled dead. All other times are free game. I've been to a few games there and in-person there is usually a noticeable lull in the ringing for most plays but always some left who ring it the whole play. I think on TV it sounds more constant than in person. Maybe more bells near the mic or something. They absolutely know how obnoxious it is and they love how much everyone else hates it. The penalty is just fines for each game they are deemed to have broken the rule. Students don't give a fuck about that so they just keep ringing and the school pays the fine.
September 7Sep 7 Carolina is so bad it's almost astonishing. Bryce Young is absolutely horrible. I mean, Trevor Lawrence isn't great, but Young may finish dead last in QB rankings.

Its also a conference rule. So games like last night "ring responsible "doesnt apply. Its a cool tradition. Yes everyone thats an opponent hates it. And at times I do too because its a crutch. But in big games when that transition occurs its truly awesome and the voices come out even louder.

Why would we believe that a defense that had just let the devils drive 94 yards over nearly 10 minutes ....is not going to score a td from the 3. And even when that happened. We still needed to get 40+ yards with no timeouts. We dont ever have that work. We never win when you need those bomb passes to connect. It happened. It changes the outlook on the year. It was the biggest win for msu in likely some say 3 years but i say 10+ back to Mullen rebuilding the program.

I mean the last time we beat a nonconference opponent? I wonder where those bulls testicles ended up when Jackie cut them off in 91 before that Texas game....

September 9Sep 9 One of my favorite things is how one school portrays another in their preview tweet. This should be familiar as Texas commonly gets the desert treatment, but the gun toting green eagle is next level!
