NW State is a tune-up before our last test of 2025 - @ SDSU

This team is damn good. They dominated from the opening tip, well before the Scott injury.

Also, Baylor is screwed if that injury is long-term. Scott is their leading scorer by a lot.

This is my takeaway. Won every game except South Carolina by double digits. That's also a game Texas controlled for much of the way outside of a 3rd quarter lapse. South Carolina and UCONN are great teams but Texas looks like a team that can win a championship if they get healthy.

Until proven otherwise, UCONN is the best team in America. And I think it's by some decent margin. Size, speed, handles and consistent shooting make them hard to stay within 10 points of. And obviously, they stack up OK in coaching. Doesn't mean we couldn't beat them when we're healthy, but it would take great shooting (get rid of the endless missed layups) and dodging foul trouble.

They beat the #16 team yesterday by 28 points. We just beat the #13 team by 35 points. Just saying…. 😎

I wondered why Vic kept Graves and Prenter on the bench so long, I know he likes Nicki. Might have been going for style points.

Shoutout to R. Lobo, one of the best in the business.

That stat about Baylor and not losing by 30+ since 2006 is something…

Jesus.

It was our largest win over an AP ranked team since 2005

On the other side of it.  They better make some shots against our d and handle our pressure or it could get out of hand for them.

Ruocco kind of hinted Texas expects Crump back after Christmas…

We and maybe LSU have more of a chance to beat them than do most other teams, both due to talent and coaching. That said, I just can't ignore UCONN's ability to handle pressure, control the boards and lean on the opposition's D in ways other teams can't. It's almost as if they have a couple Bookers on the court at all times. We desperately need Crump and Preston back to make it a more fair fight.

Again I’ll believe it when I see them back on the court. They’ve all been day-to-day for weeks now and Vic wants to make sure they’re 110% before giving them even limited minutes on the floor. I agree we want to do what it takes to be healthy in March too, but at the same time it’s just as risky to have a 7 player rotation that can just as likely lead to fatigue and injury. Hopefully that doesn’t bite us

No, it's not nearly the same USC without Watkins. But forget all that and just watch UCONN. They're a relentless machine.

Considering we had a Chip update on Preston in November and a timetable on Judd, any morsel regarding Crump, I will eat

Hasn’t happened in the past with phelia and Morris?  They get hurt, stop playing, and just don’t ever come back but there’s no official injury reported or timetable?

Judd's confident and relaxed. You can tell she knows the game. Pretty remarkable debut, all things considered.

Texas wins 96-38 but Judd is back. And we hit 6 threes

I think she picked up a couple fouls pretty early.

Maybe for the best, because it got Judd into the game quicker. She was all hustle rebounding. And hit her only 3

Im so glad she gets a few games before SEC play to find her feet. Preston hopefully this weekend and then Crump after Christmas

Saturday's opponent, South Dakota State University, plays Duke tonight.

SDSU is NET 42 as of today. This will be their third P4 team - they played UNC (big loss), KSU (double digit win) and now Duke.  And Texas on Saturday.

Their only non-P4 loss is Columbia, who is decent (NET 66)

The NET has settled down a little - Texas is #2, LSU dropped to #6, UConn still sits at #1.
