I do volunteer work for Beto's campaign (surprise!). I get called a "libtard" on a regular basis and get a lot of responses that are just "#MAGA!" and the like, but I also hear a lot of "who is Beto?"

Beto up 69/31 in Hidalgo county. Guess that border tour for Cruz didn’t help much.

But Mexican Americans all hate immigration!!!

can felons vote in TX?

Yes, after they've completed their sentence including probation.

NYTimes seems behind. The CNN live update is better right now. Still not seeing a lot of election day. When does that from big cities and rural usually come in?

is he gonna pull this off? Is Beto going to take Texas??????

I think Amarillo and Lubbock are still out.  I’m skeptical.

Gotta get 50% or better to prevent a runoff right?

Cruz is up by 50K now that more election day results come in....Beto likely needed a bigger lead off the EV.

Amarillo is in and really isn't that big anyway. Lubbock and San Angelo biggest missing R strongholds.

There is no way that’s true.  That would mean Harris gives 4MM votes.

Are more Harris votes coming in.

It is based on % of precincts, not voting totals.

People keep saying so and so place is "in" . Very few of them are all in...the EV is in, the count from today's action is generally not.  It will be tight but like I already said I feel like Beto needed a bigger lead at this poiint.

There are no runoffs in a general election.  Whoever has the most votes wins.

i am emotionally prepared for a letdown. Texas football has me trained on that, so i thank our 2 prior coaches for making me tougher in the face of bad news.

The guy who’s father didn’t help kill President Kennedy wins by default.

Beto doing much better than most folks expected, but still gonna come up short unfortunately.

Lubbock county in. 66-33.5. 2016 was 66-28-4 (GJ). So basically Beto picked up the Gary Johnson voters there. Cruz takes a lead, but it's basically from election day totals coming in from smaller counties. I want to start seeing election day from Dallas/Travis/Harris/Bexar and El Paso.

Right.  About 4.5 million people.

Did CBS just call it?????

Shocking. Democratic candidate for the 13th Court of Appeals who is under federal indictment for corruption also leading in Hidalgo County. A very educated electorate indeed.

2M+ votes left. most of those are in the urban areas. Dems do better on election day. Beto has this!

not getting a good feeling. Its up to Harris.

Harris will give Beto more votes than Cruz, but Beto is going to need continued big #s in Austin, SA and Dallas.  And hope Tarrant didn't show up in force for Cruz today.

Not sure if trolling or incredibly optimistic.

Feels like a Cruz 50, Beto 48 and change outcome.
