  • Our defense played their asses off. Giving up 14 points and two yards a play despite zero help from the offense is a day’s work.

Honestly are we that irate about this game? True road game against an elite defense and only lost by a touchdown and held them to 14? I'd be more pissed if we were in mid-season and Arch is still maki

  • Fuck that shit. They ran for 2.3 yards a carry. They got 240 yards total offense. They couldn’t close out the game when they needed to.

Sark is not the same playcaller he was at Bama. With Manning, he was supposed to finally open up his playbook. Hopefully, it happens in the second half.

Need Manning to start changing the call at the line and start calling out "Omaha Omaha Omaha". Patricia will soil himself.

I guess the second half could be just as futile as the first offensively, but something doesn’t seem right.

The offensive scheme, the play calling, the QB play, looks remarkably weak. Is it really that bad, or for the first time is Sark trying to save some things for the second half? I doubt it, but I guess we’ll find out shortly.

It’s possible he has been playing safe to see the scheme bc we knew nothing really of what they were going to do. Now I doubt it and if so that’s fucking stupid but it’s possible

Must run Arch.  There's a reason the NFL are going for athletic dual threat-like QB.  If your passing and RB is shut, QB run is the x factor.  Just get a 1st down.

Maybe Sark was calling vanilla to see how Patricia was going to call defense and now he's going to open it up.

Yeah, Sark told Arch to suck at throwing for the first half to misdirect them.

Play calling doesn't matter when a QB is struggling as much as Arch has. I think he will turn it on at some point today.

I will be shocked if OSU gets a holding call in this game based on the obvious ones they’ve not been called for thus far.

I suspect that's the reason we aren't seeing any open receivers, they're all being held. Sark oughta be screaming his head off at the refs

Did some folks realize it wasn’t all Ewers’ fault?

Quinn ain't beat this team last year.

Finally checking the game thread, so how bad Arch sucked and how feeble has Sark’s  play calling looked?

Well, Texas is bragging about…..its punter.

The vanilla play calling is causing PTSD

This is my issue. Watching an elite defense be denied by mediocrity on offense last year was frustrating. More of the same is concerning.

Oline holding being missed  vs face masking pulling the helmet off the head and holding a receiver are quite different.

If that's all the refs are capable of seeing, they're incompetent. And the severity of OL holding can be all over the map. There has been some play changing obvious shit.

You may be right but if you hold your breath waiting for this you’re gonna probably die

There's some truth here.

Looks to me like Baxter is a non-factor. Maybe Sark has fucked that up too. Isn't he supposed to be an offensive genius?  Baxter does not impress. I'm used to seeing at a minimum sparks of brilliance from UT running backs.

Baxter is great. Blocking is shit.

Buckeyes are just as loaded as we are, playing at home.  Their O-line is legit from what I’ve seen so far. Sayin seems like a gamer.  It’ll say something about this team if we can turn the tables and pull this one out.

Sark being inept against Georgia and Ohio state is becoming a thing.

Arch will be fine. Maybe not today,  but he'll get it eventually. He's too talented not to adjust.

Something like this. I’m wondering if Sark knows he can lose this and is using it as a “let’s see where we are” game.

Can’t wait for your QB analysis

well it’s his first game as our starter and he’s not fat and unkempt with a dumbass mullet and an aura that says, “i’m here for the money”, plus zero self sacks or turnovers, so to this point he’s doing better than the last guy was in my book!

They'll get one when the game isn't in doubt anymore

Maybe Devonta Smith, Waddle, and Jeudy had something to do with that.

Our receivers need to get their shit together too. We have talent but nothing like that group.

We'll see if Manning is a true leader and gamer in this 2nd half.
