Gilbeaux has cost us twice against Ohio State. Why do we keep running him out there

  • Our defense played their asses off. Giving up 14 points and two yards a play despite zero help from the offense is a day’s work.

Honestly are we that irate about this game? True road game against an elite defense and only lost by a touchdown and held them to 14? I'd be more pissed if we were in mid-season and Arch is still maki

  • Fuck that shit. They ran for 2.3 yards a carry. They got 240 yards total offense. They couldn’t close out the game when they needed to.

Hey Sark, next time it’s 1st and goal, I’m good if you wanna try to run it four times to hit paydirt. But for the love of fucking god give it to your RUNNINGBACK more than once. You dope.

They did it what, one time in the first half? This won’t be a popular opinion, but maybe sark is a great designer and ceo and a shitty caller and coach?

He’s a great culture guy and recruiter. But he’s Mack and GD combined on game day

#4607
sark could not be any worse at 4th down play calling. the sheer volume of 4th and short/4thband medium failures over the last 2+ seasons is sickening.
If he's not an OC inside a loaded Bama program, he gets exposed any time he plays a team equal or better than his team.

Sark and Flood are teaching this shit to our guys. It’s the same shit from 2 different sets of players.

Mildly competent QB play and we win this game 35-14.

I’d put this way more on Arch than Sark.

I don’t know how you can watch the game and the throws Arch made and blame this on Sark. That was a Garrett Gilbert esque performance.

I agree. Sayin looks way, way better. Arch looked - very bad. True freshman at La Tech bad.

Arch lost that one. Plain and simple. Have to make those throws, if he puts it right in front of Wingo that's a massive play.

I had our defense guessed right, maybe even underestimated them a bit. I thought our defense would hold OSU to between 10 and 16 points. They overachiever because they held to 14 with the offense doing nothing all day. We may have the best defense in the country.

But holy shit did I not see this offense and Arch in particular looking so fucking bad. That's one of the worst QB'd games I've seen in a while. Rarely do you see a QB single handedly lose a game,  but I think we just saw it.

#4618

We will be fine over the long haul. Ohio st had two losses last year and won it all when it mattered most. Overall the defense is gonna keep us in every game and manning will improve game to game. If it was 35-7 I’d be way more worried.

#4619

Honestly..amazed Arch even got that one off. Gotta keep reminding myself were  weren’t playing Disco Tech here. Great team in their own backyard and the calls and bounces went their way..but even with all that..SHIT..we had our chances.

Great game, 'Horns... The rematch in the playoffs will be so much better, and will very likely have different results.

he's running full speed across the field.  the throw was absolutely awful.  he's looking for the ball to be in front of him.

I'm not sure this was on sark.  WR didn't get open, and when they did, arch couldn't hit them.  But the play calling was still less than stellar.

Did they change the rule in the offseason so you can hang all over the receiver before the ball gets there?

Yep.  Just rewatched the play.  Just as egregious as the hold on us in the first half, if not worse.

Honestly….Ewers wins this game by double digits.

I’m not real sure why people keep saying this. We’ve seen the results in similar games. They were the same

What’s the odds Sayin gets raped by a number of “lesser” teams over this season.   Fuck this cock gobbling staff.

We shouldn’t have been in 4th and medium if Arch could have hit either wide open player for easy throws on 2nd and 3rd down. Sometimes players have to make plays.

i don’t disagree, but today was arch’s first start as qb1. sark has been killing us on 4th and short for years now.

#4630
Why does every pass to the receiver damn near have to be perfect for them to catch it?

They don’t. But Manning didn’t just throw bad balls he threw uncatchable balls. Jerry Rice isn’t catching a ball in the dirt 5 feet in front of him, or a ball behind him as he’s running the opposite way in his route.

Ya…. We are seeing the same Sark issues with a new qb. It can be both. Shit preparation and shit play from arch. Combo

#4636

That’s as bad a fucking game as I’ve ever seen a UT QB have. Disgusting he will be fine I think but that was awful and he should feel shame and embarrassment.

#4638

So glad I got to witness 2005. This fuckin school underperforms so god damn much. It's always someone else, always stepping on our own dick. Crabtree catch, bang into a 350 pound defensive tackle with a QB, 2023 & 2024 just never made the play. 2025 elite defense pathetic offense. Just not meant for this school to ever flex it's resources and dominate. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

#4639

Behind at half, game over. First down in red zone, might as well hand it to the oppo.

14-6 before Jaggy catch, could we do better on 2-pointer than fourth and goal?

Disappointed... but plenty of season.

Good game bucks.  You guys are legit.  We?  Well, we have a lot to figure out if there is going to be a rematch

Yeah, maybe 1 out of a 100 tries. Not buying it. Wingo was cook'n across and did well to try and tip it forward. That is 100% on Arch.

making a couple throws when it counted would have won us the game pretty easily.  ewers could have done that no problem.

Might be time to stop sucking a 21 year old’s dick because his uncles used to be good at football
also fuck Matthew McConaughey

U maybe a expert on that topic im sure
#4646

Arch didn’t look good. But Sark really had a poor game plan and scheme and in game play calling. He even was requiring Arch to make some tough throws. Compare that to Quinn last year where Quinn had a bunch of easy throws. This loss is 80% on Sark the OC and 20% on Arch and the team.

Elite transfer WRs kept Ewers from drowning. We gave Arch a WR2 as WR1

The QB play was not up to the billing.  Did you watch the game, horrible side arm throws behind receivers.  Arch will be fine but he had major first game jitters to his credit he made some fantastic throws which should give us all hope.  Hook’em🤘🏼
