I quit watching after the second interception.  My life is way too fucked up to deal with this shit.  I’m not about to read this thread, but I bet the meltdown is epic even by Longhorn standards. Have the Bench Arch and fire Sark threads been started yet?

  • Our defense played their asses off. Giving up 14 points and two yards a play despite zero help from the offense is a day’s work.

Honestly are we that irate about this game? True road game against an elite defense and only lost by a touchdown and held them to 14? I'd be more pissed if we were in mid-season and Arch is still maki

Fuck that shit. They ran for 2.3 yards a carry. They got 240 yards total offense. They couldn’t close out the game when they needed to.

Well, at least I have Dallas Cowboys football to look forward to this year.

lol. Do you have the memory of a goldfish?

No. We had running game that was fine and plenty of time in the pocket. That was 100% on arch. He was god awful. And it was all set up for him.

I know Manning didn’t have a good game but our receivers didn’t help him much. The pornstache kid had the best catch after dropping a catchable ball.

He had to one arm that catchable ball because the DB was holding his other arm down. PI

On the other hand, I was very pleased with the performance of the core of the OL.   We look to be improved at G-C-G

4th and inches. With the entire defense over the football will be shown every week the season

2 fgs is 14-13 with us having the ball to win. Or 14-14 in 4th qtr.

we had our chances to win but I hope now the bullshit hype will go away

where are all these posts coming from?  did you jackoffs watch him play last season?

I did watch him and don’t recall the sidearm delivery on every fucking throw, short or long. I must have missed it.

Will resume jacking off now

I guess we won these games the last 3 years then huh. It’s almost like we have a gameday coaching issue

We have a red zone play calling issue more than anything.

I wish he would hand off those duties.

We couldn't run last year. We could today. Ewers with this running game wins fairly easily. That was an absolutely horrific QB performance. He makes a dead simple throw to Wingo and we are tied.

Again this isn’t that hard, we keep having horrific qb performances against good teams under Sark.

ewers would have been sacked four times today with how well tosu covered our wrs. nobody is saying that arch played well, but the assertion that quinn would have led us to a win today is baseless.

Looking these stats, I’d think we won. Man. Hurts.

Sark had 8 months to prepare for this game and that’s what he trotted out

At ease Sarge.

2-3 vs Ohio State now.

Need to change that in the playoffs.

We made aggy and ousucks happy today…..we gotta do better and win out.

We don't need to win out.

Despite as bad as Arch, Sark and the red zone offense was, they still had a chance late.  They didn't get dominated, but they did lose to a team that mirrored similar deficiencies.  Would've been nice to get the W but this was a fight.

I watched what happened when we ran the ball 4 times up the middle inside the 10.

Don't forget that series of shitty calls.

Plenty to blame on Arch, but Sark is fucking Mid and the game plan on offense was bad.

We actually were able to run the ball. We were never able to consistently throw the ball as Arch couldn’t hit routes that a HS 6A starter should.

Arch looked scared. What the fuck happened to him this off season? He was always so confident, even brash last season.

Easy to he brash when it ain't all on you

Did I expect Arch to be the greatest QB of all time?

Nope.

But I figured he could put the bass in between the numbers. Holy shit he was so inaccurate today.

2 minutes ago, BurntEyes said:

I said it before but merits repeating this is 70% Sark and 30% Arch.

No. Y'all are blind. Arch was that bad today. Hopefully he gets better. But that was a horrid performance.

Because Ewers hits those easy throws?

Sark still would have called the same shitty redzone and goal line plays

If you're going to bring Ewers into it, how many times does he self sack? Does he get injured? Does the defense bring the house and dare him to throw deep? Just stop trying to think the game would be exactly the same and you can magically turn the outcome of the game by deleting Arch for a few plays and inserting Ewers there.

Yeah no sugar coating it. Sark has to change or we wont win.

Agreed. While sark wasn’t good this is really mostly in arch.

They wouldn’t have needed 4th down at all with better QB play.

I’m hoping arch is better next week and through the season

Easily.

By 2 scores I bet

Sark did but mainly because his qb failed him.

sark has his blame for 4th down calls.  Should have kicked FGs and they might be tied.

but the real culprit is the QBs inaccuracy

Arch wears some blame for his shitty throws.
he’ll get better… or maybe he won’t… and Caldwell or Lacey steps in. That will work itself out..

but sarks dipshit play calling in crucial situations were unfortunately fucking stuck with.

Our defense will keep us in every game we play, no matter how bad the offense is.

Yea, Sark wasn't throwing the football at people's feet all game.

Arch is going to get roasted in film study for several of his reads. Worst was the inc to Livingstone when Wingo was a walk in TD on the rub play.

Lots of nerves for the kid for his first game.

Best news to me was that it looked like we could run both OZ and IZ this year, which was a huge difference from last year.

We lost the first half because of Sark and lost the game because of Arch. We needed both of them to be on to win. Our red zone woes continue for 3rd straight year. Maybe some Sark needs to hire an offensive consultant.

0-2 red zone

Where was the creativity and scheming that Sark the offensive guru is known for? All offseason to prepare and that busted ass gameplan is what you have?

Honestly….Ewers wins this game by double digits.
Lulz. When did Ewers ever do that against a team of equal or better caliber? He had the opportunity to do it against Georgia twice last year. Washington, OSU. Failed in all 4 games. And with way better talent than today. Imagine Ewers with the skillset of today, brutal.

I feel good. Texas is about to make a long run into the championships again. Arch will be fine and prove haters wrong along the way. We close out with a championship ring, if Sark can stop shitting the bucket within the 5 yard line. #HookEm🤘🏾

Good game bucks.  You guys are legit.  We?  Well, we have a lot to figure out if there is going to be a rematch

Were they?  Or did we just play like retards?  I’d say the latter.

I don't think Sark was good but we pretty clearly don't have the same skill position talent we did the past 2 seasons.

I have nothing bad to say about Arch. He very obviously gets it - he just needs more reps.

He made several terrible throws. I mean we jump right out the gate with a 25 yard pass to Moore except he spiked it 8 yards short.

On the last drive he turfed one to Endries then threw well behind Wingo, each of those were first downs with good throws. Manning was very bad today, it's not wrong to say it.

We just have to have faith he will play better moving forward, which I think he will.

1-5 on 4th down. terrible. that’s the game right there. they weren’t even bad decisions, just bad play calls.

Since we are throwing blame around, where the fuck was the pass rush off the ends? Where was Ant Man?
Also Sarks offense is supposed to be TE heavy, we only saw the TE at end of game wtf?

Now we got homes games at SJSU, UTEP, and Sam Houston, two of which are day games.  Yipeeeeeee!

Won’t know shit about this team until Oct 4.

Florida could be either top 5 or unranked

Played a tough, gritty game against what is possibly an elite D in one of the hardest places to win in the country.  That said, we're going to have to improve a lot on offense to win this thing.

We lost the first half because of Sark and lost the game because of Arch. We needed both of them to be on to win. Our red zone woes continue for 3rd straight year. Maybe some Sark needs to hire an offensive consultant.

How about we hand the ball of to the 220lbs running back

This wasn't a game plan thing. The throws were there. Maybe Sark gets in their head and makes them fuck up simple fucking throws. But the inability to hit a wide fucking open receiver 7 yards in front of you on a simple cross route, yeah, I'm blaming the fucking QB.

Holy shit, I didn't realize we out gained them by 130 yards. I guess we have to take that as an extremely positive sign if Arch can improve week to week.

Terrible playcallin' by Sark + Arch showing freshman-like tendencies today.

May need some Texas freshman WRs to earn more playing time by conference play to help passing game too...
