September 1Sep 1 Amazing. It's one thing just to haul that in one handed. It's completely another level to do it over the middle and into the endzone. Edited September 1Sep 1 by Iceman
September 1Sep 1 I have no idea why that review took 2 mins.... it was clear on the immediate replay that the ball never got near the ground even when bobbled.
September 1Sep 1 Catch of the year. I know it’s only week 1 but that one will have some staying power
September 1Sep 1 Wow. Highlight of the weekend. There was a similar catch yesterday, but yeah this one takes it.
September 1Sep 1 "We'll also break down some tape you need to see of Arch Manning..." Once was quite enough, thank you
September 1Sep 1 Along with Klatt, Orlovsky dissects the game as well as anyone. He clearly didn't miss out on his caffeine this afternoon.

I just watched that segment. Not persuasive. Two plays where tOSU had us covered well, and the last play where we had a blocking bust and let an edge come in unblocked. Seemed like he was trying to cover for Arch and didn’t show any of the plays where we had receivers running open and Arch just missed them. Those are the ones that concern me.
September 1Sep 1 Freeman interview at the half was telling. His defensive line can't make Beck uncomfortable. Sending more is going to create issues on the back end with Miami's speed.

That's where I was going. Orlovsky's normally great but he had too much coffee this evening. All over the place with that piece. My head was spinning trying to figure out what he was getting at.
September 1Sep 1 Man, really wish Arch had hit some similar throws yesterday. Not comparing him to 15 year senior Beck, just wishing…

September 1Sep 1 quite the rooting conundrum(other than meteor) tonight. I think Miami loses at least 2. probably better for ND to take the L. for recruiting probably better if Miami loses...
September 1Sep 1 Beck's a fucking weirdo but If you give him 3 - 4 seconds on every snap to pick apart a defense he's going to do it. Zero push for ND.

You can pick three plays out of 60 to prove just about anything you want, and I don’t think the three he chose were representative of what went wrong for us yesterday.

ND loses, drops below A&M the next 2 weeks (because the media loves to put A&M high in the polls when they haven’t accomplished shit) and then A&M walks into Souf Bend as the favorite which is where Freeman will pounce.

I think there were three categories of plays that went wrong - arch inaccuracy, arch didn’t go though his progressions correctly or quickly enough and didn’t see open guys, and tOSU covered well with disguises etc. and sark had the wrong call. obviously a fourth category where arch completed the pass but what went wrong was three fold.

He's built a massive offensive line, has a ton of speed on the flanks, has guys making one-handed catches and Beck is a good QB. Miami offense will create issue for most teams this season.
September 1Sep 1 Several 50/50 balls in this game WRs going up and getting them. We can has one too please?
September 1Sep 1 Miami has a real team this year. Playoff quality. ND breaking in a freshman QB. That’s pretty much it.
