Oh.. so 2023 is too long ago with Xavier and Whittington? And filling those losses with some transfers last year Golden, Bolden and Bond last year while some talent was developed for this year is the issue. After game 2 when we have the top TD receiver in the nation. I see now.
Dude, there is shit to worry about but WRs isnt fucking one of them.

Sark brought in 3 transfer WR’s last year to supplement a 2024 WR room in need of development which consisted of Deandre Moore, Johntay Cook, Ryan Niblett, Freddie DuBose, Ryan Wingo, Aaron Butler and Parker Livingstone. We then lost Cook to the transfer portal, DuBose to medical retirement and Niblett to position roulette. Wingo still can’t catch and Moore has been a non-factor this year.

Only one of these WR’s has actually been productive (Parker) and been on the same page with Arch this year. Yet, you would posit that our homegrown WR development is of no concern right now. We shall see soon enough.

Were Golden and Bolden “homegrown” talent? No. They were transfer WR’s who had already established themselves elsewhere and it was the primary reason why Sark recruited them to transfer here. He didn’t recruit them to be developed here, either. He brought them here to perform. Our “homegrown” WR’s, on the other hand, were brought in to be developed. And that development, outside of Parker and the true freshman who are still learning the ropes, is looking questionable right now.

So, you DO give a shit about whether WR’s are “homegrown” until you don’t, but even then, you still do, and then ignore two current NFL regulars who are, because if you don’t, you’re wrong? Did I get that right?  Fucking idiot

You mean the two NFL homegrown regulars (non-transfers) who came onboard before Sark took over the program in 2022? That’s the pinnacle of the homegrown WR development under Sark right now. Parker may be the next homegrown NFL talent. Wingo and Moore still have much to prove right now, though I do believe that they have the right NFL measurables to get drafted (albeit later) if they don’t turn it up a few notches before then. Hopefully, they do.

If you don’t recognize Xavier Worthy as “homegrown” under Sark the you’re too fucking retarded to deal with.

Speaking of…multiple Surly Geniuses were openly lobbying for Xavier Worthy to transfer during his sophomore year. So yeah, let’s close the book on Wingo and Moore….

You're considering Johntay Cook a loss?

Look, posting this kind of shit tells everyone here you are either too dumb to understand what other people are saying to you or just a blatant troll. Either way, you're not worth anyone's time.

You have cracked the case, sir!

Cook was Syracuse's leading receiver against Tennessee. The young man might just be turning his life around and live up to his potential.

Hope he does, but in a much larger sample size he caught about 15 passes in two years.

I cant possibly say "WHO GIVES A SHIT" enough times to this.

The larger point is that we told him to hit the road because of a shit ton of off the field BS . . . we didn't lose him to Syracuse like KittyBaby said

Nobody knows shit about the quality of our wide receiver room yet, given the team has only played two games this season. Other than the fact that Parker Livingstone is a Longhorn Legend already.

New video, so adding to this thread

Almost 500 yards and 6 TD's.

Not too shabby for a RS-FR JAG...

83 yards is the longest explosive this year too.

This is just the beginning of a Longhorn Legend.

With better OL play and, let's face it, a better Arch, he'll be even better next year...only worry would be other guys improving and/or getting more reps.

I like this kid. I'm not sure why he was called a JAG, probably because he is white? I don't know what his 40 time is but he gets plenty of separation, and I haven't seen a DB stay with him on a 9 route yet. His shortcoming is he needs to get stronger both for catching the football and blocking, but dude catches with his hands and fights for the ball.

We don't know that. I consider it an open question. I just outran my son-in-law at Thanksgiving and the dude played RB at Cornell.

First of all, I'm curious to know how that even got to the point that you felt the need to flip the crocks around to sport.

There once was a JAG named Earl Thomas. Sometimes JAGs work out. Colt McCoy was supposed to be a JAG but he wasn't having it.

We were playing football with the extended family. I might be seeing it differently than other witnesses, but I am confident I am the one that has it straight .

As to crocs, um, no. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing anything of the sort.

Ctj ranted about him being a Jag before he was our TD king the first 4 games of the year.

At this point he's Mick Jagga as far I'm concerned

Ah. The ole Thanksgiving family football game. You are better than me. After three knee surgeries I cannot outrun a toddler.

The poor bastard rolled his ankle covering my 15 year old about 5 minutes later and he and my oldest daughter had to spend two hours in urgent care after suffering the humiliation of me beating him deep. I love the guy. Felt bad for him but I hope they come back next year for another gathering after he licks his physical and ego wounds.

He got you back by banging your daughter though.

I'm not sure how they are at Ivy League Football, but those guys are the Walter Camp of American birding. Revolutionized the game. Respect.

Dude went to Cornell.  He’s smart enough to say I’ll let my FIL win.  Give him something to brag about at the water cooler.  Chess.
