After 2 weeks, the only shoe in for the playoffs is Oregon. That schedule is easy as fucking cake. They might lose at Penn State but that’s about it. Everything else is wide fucking open. Ohio State also a lock. Rest of that conference is ass. Edited September 7Sep 7 by Pods
September 7Sep 7 Ah shit… Mateer is from Little Elm?! They got our next Colt! Edited September 7Sep 7 by UTexasFight
September 7Sep 7 That kind of gameplan (running him every other play) against our D will be an entertaining watch He better hope they have a bye week after Dallas

September 7Sep 7 Yeah I couldn't tell much about OU tonight. Michigan might be terrible, I mean honestly leaving the Big House last year I was happy we won but had the same feeling. At least Underwood is talented but their DL is much worse. Mateer was workmanlike with a few nice throws.
September 7Sep 7 If Arch does not remove his head from his a$$, OUsucks is going to beat us like a redheaded stepchld.
September 7Sep 7 Author A lot to clean up and still show some signs of an allergy to success. Good physicality, though.

More like psychological torture. i can’t see us getting blown out in any game this year if our D stays healthy, absent 3-4 turnovers by the offense which is certainly possible with where Arch’s head is currently lodged.

September 7Sep 7 I'm concerned. For all we've made fun of, they looked disciplined and cohesive. Their defense looked fast and aggressive. Mateer was a consistent 3rd down chain mover. He's good for 1-2 TOs per game, however. Maybe I was just jealous seeing a cohesive offense with an identity.

Agreed, they looked surprisingly buttoned up. Mateer kept his cool even after getting punched in the mouth a few times.

Their "oh no they're so bad they need to start freshman OL" OL, surprise surprise looked better in week 2 than week 1 as well. There were moments they got blown up, but they got push several times as well. Even on short yardage situations.

Michigan would score at least as much as they did against OU and most likely quite a bit more. Our defense isn’t that much better than Michigan’s. You would probably be looking at something like a 24-14 Michigan win.
September 7Sep 7 Mateer threw 4 balls last night that should have been picked (1 was). His decision making is questionable. That deep slant where the WR had 2 yards of separation and the CB was behind him and mateer threw the ball on a line right at the CB is a prime example. If he had some touch and lofted it up more that probably wouldve been a TD but he looked like he just locked in and threw the route like he normally would when practicing against air. He tries to force things that aren’t there. This Michigan defense is not good and still living off the reputation of 2 years ago when none of those guys are still there (and they’re not cheating anymore.) I mean, OU only scored 7 more points against them than New Mexico did the week before, and NM was on the road in the big house. OUs running game was actually nonexistent outside of battering Ram mode mateer. don’t even need to talk about the god awful offense Michigan showed but there was no fire power out there, coaching or players.
September 7Sep 7 Are people forgetting we rolled Michigan last year ? So what if they best Michigan, they fucking haven't completed a pass since their championship. OU isn't as laughably bad as last year but they have auburn in 2 weeks and you know freeze has that game circled as a contract win .
September 7Sep 7 We have more talent, but it's very unlikely OU will be an easy out in Dallas this year. No reason to pretend otherwise.
September 7Sep 7 I was at the game last night. Wife is a Michigan grad so I went undercover as a Michigan fan. Couple of takeaways... 1st... Texas lives rent free in their heads. Half the goobers were wearing beat Texas buttons or Horns down buttons throwing Horns down all game long. Laughable when your game is against Michigan. I went in with the expectation that it would be a shithole stadium with nothing but Indian casino reservation advertisments... I didnt leave dissapointed. Ive been to Highschool stadiums with better sound systems. To be fair they were pretty cordial although they did boo injured players on the field, which I found a bit off putting. The goobers around me did apologize for some of their errant fans that were booing. Since I was there with my wife I did my best not to draw attention to myself by being a Texas fan... [lets be honest, Michigan didnt exactly give me much room to gloat] From a whole field perspective the left side of the ou defense seemed to play a good 10 yrds off of the recievers all game long. Shit ton of oppurtuinities missed on that side. Michigans oline looked like complete fucking garbage all game long. Im not competent enough to state that their oline sucks or ou dline is that fucking good. Ou's special teams is ass my man. From my perspective i didnt feel like ou was "that great" more like michigans offense was "just that bad" Michigans D was pretty solid for the most part imho. Long story short... ou sucks.

Were they real injuries or were they bullshit fake injuries like LSU and Ole Miss are famous for? If it's the latter, then we too booed LSU for faking injuries all game long, and I don't feel bad about it at all.

They didn't appear to be fake.
