I hope that’s real. It would explain a lot.

It explains a lot about MAGA world in general.

I hate to say it, but I saw this firsthand with my Dad.  For whatever reason, he was unable to get into the Houston Fire Dept in the early 70's.  In his 22 year old brain, "his" spot was given to someone "not as qualified" because of "affirmative action."  I heard that refrain a LOT while growing up in his house.

My Dad matured over the years and went on to great success in another career, but that one rejection in early adulthood bent his brain on this issue.  When MAGA went full-on grievance politics, that DEI issue resonated with the bent piece of his brain and sucked him in.

So my Dad, Charlie Kirk, and millions of other (mostly) white people who didn't get exactly what they wanted from life in their formative years found an easy scapegoat for that disappointment and aligned with a movement that gave permission to their anger and distrust.

At least that's my theory.

I saw on YouTube that it was a pistol from behind that killed Kirk. People are saying it was his wife who shot him, because Kirk was dating a black and Asian transgendered little person, and was going to leave his family for him.

(Am I doing this right?)

I think you are right!  I heard from my buddy who is ex-Delta Force, among a couple of bigger game hunters, who know guns, talk about how a 30-06 would destroy a neck and blow out a huge hole and spray blood everywhere.  And even though I didn't watch to video to see if this was true, I heard that the round came from the back and exited the front.   So you are right.  This was definitely a professional assassin and a Patsy.

I thought this was a pretty good reddit post commenting on this

Spoiler

Jesus carrying his Cross upon which He would then be crucified is one of the most foundational episodes of Christianity. His anguish on the Via Dolorosa not only symbolizes His ultimate sacrifice of death to save us all, but is also a reminder to us that the life of a Christian is not easy. Rather, it can be incredibly difficult and painful; It requires a great deal of self-sacrifice: "[T]hen Jesus told his disciples, 'if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me' (Matthew 16:24). Choosing when to believe the word of God and when not to, to be selective in your faith is ANTITHETICAL to the aforementioned asceitism we are called to practice.

The wheels perfectly represent how Christianity has become watered down and americanized in the USA, devoid of the original Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Messiah has devolved into some sort of Patriot who enjoys breaking apart families and engaging in violence. He is divorced from His true persona as the wise King we all know from the Bible. The wheels on the cross represent the cafeteria christianity of the right (as well as the left) of American politics. But I want to highlight the right, specifically the Trump squad, because they have been making headlines for saying incredibly blasphemous things that would should NEVER be tolerated. For example, US rep Troy Nehls said "If Charlie Kirk lived in Biblical times, he would have been the 13th disciple"....?!?! And then there is a loud mouthed pastor whose name I don't even want to broadcast who tweeted. that "the asssination of charlie kirk is likely the most significant christian event in our life time"...??? Then there are people saying he is the "first Christian martry to be killed for his faith for the entire world to witness" All of these statements are blasphemous but these last two are factually incorrect if we are idiotic enough to entertain them. There are so many other outrageous and anti-Christian statements being passed around during this insane episode of nationwide psychosis. I recall seeing somewhere a priest, rightfully so, pointing out the idolotry taking place right now and a Trump supporting, supposed Christian sending him insults. Personally, I think insulting a priest or nun or any religious leader who is assumed to be a spiritual authority, is totally wrong and goes against the basic tenets of ecumenism which so many Churches today espouse. Meanwhile these are the same people who are devoid of love for their fellow human and especially the poor and downtrodden. Christianity serves as a tool to promote their ignorance but is otherwise untouched when it is needed to serve the poor: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth....lessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:5 & 8).

I hope I am not speaking to those that agree with me, but rather to those with hardened hearts who have mingled the word of God with their earthly and unChristlike politics. I hope you have gotten your wakeup call from this absolutely disturbing display from the American political christians and their made-up fantasy of the only Living God !!!

My mom worked as a high school teacher for a while and her buddy in the chemistry department blamed affirmative action for denying him a spot in med school. My immediate response to this at the time was "How the fuck would he know that?"

I'm sure he treated all of his students equally...

It not only gives them a scapegoat, but the movement has given MAGAts license to go full tilt on racist language and behavior.  No longer are they muttering "wetbacks/spics/uppity n-words" under their breath.  They are shouting those words from the mountaintop, and backslapping each other when they do.  It's why I have begun to adopt the @Brisketexan doomsday outlook on our once proud and progressive nation.

Candace Owens, of all people, has been on this theory that the 22 year old is the fall guy and brought up an interesting point about the camera in the rear being put down immediately after the shot was fired. Someone can find her clips talking about it  and see if the video of the shooting matches.

We're already on to Tylenol causing autism.  Give it a month and no one will even remember this nincompoop got killed.  His death did serve a purpose, though.  It covered up and kept out of the news cycle the Republicans all voting not to release the Epstein files.  Trump was looking cooked on that front and now it's vanished from the public consciousness again.

What a coincidence. Especially since it helped the same guy that faked his own assassination attempt to get elected. Hmmmmmmmm.

If you read the scriptures, they are actually the ones who will still be here worshipping the antichrist, and will only come to that realization once the real Christians are raptured.

Those people had a good time at their LARPer event and will forget about Charlie Kirk by the end of the week.

That's impossible.  @Enchubben told me that Charlie and Turning Point are all about love and equality, and the constitution, which totally allows for religious freedom and liberty and not a state religion imposed by the government.  Liberty and Religious Freedom are cornerstone ideals for them.

Wait...what's that....that only goes for native-born white Christians?  Huh.  Guess there was some mixup down at the home office with the memo and whatnot.

And I’ve always said there is something that’s shittier than a racist and that’s someone who tolerates it.

Just saying “well, I don’t agree with that” means jack shit because you’re still going to support Luny Loomer as she’s practically running the country for Fat Boy.

It's what I still can't wrap my head around for Trump supporters.   Their ability to overlook X% of shittiness from him because they like Y% of something baffles me.

So much this.

And man, the cognitive dissonance to say "I'm not racist, and the people and policies I love aren't racist....but man....all the racists and white supremacists seem to love all the people and policies I support."  FFS.

Dude.  If you like the same people and policies that white supremacists like, what meaningful difference is there between you and white supremacists?  Hint: the answer is "none."
