September 11Sep 11 Is it feasible to think the shooter gets away with this? Everyone is running. It’s going to take time to figure out where the shooter fired the shot from? Odd that the person in black on the roof turned out to be nothing? Or do I have that wrong? I heard that on the radio on the way home. This is going to be the Boston bomber rumorville repeated.
September 11Sep 11 The concern is “why” on a lot of people’s minds but I doubt Charlie Kirk is the only target if this is not deeply personal and is a professional type thing. Kinda like the DC snipers were building up to something. Maybe I’m wrong but two people have been arrested/detained and nada and eye witnesses don’t have a good feel for the distance either. 5 minutes ago, Nivek said: This is going to be the Boston bomber rumorville repeated. No doubt. But it should concern everyone this individual has not been apprehended and I hope will soon be.

Did anyone see anything before or after aside from grainy specs on videos? If the shooter said nothing to anyone before this, it's possible they are a ghost. Unless he sees a pretty lass, of course
September 11Sep 11 Popular Post I'm not caught up on this thread (been busy today), but I'd like to state for the record that it's possible to think that a person is a complete cocksucking asshole, and still be saddened by their murder and feel bad for the wife and kids.

It’s the day that forever changed their lives. Dez Bryant is saying it better than me. Carry on…
September 11Sep 11 Saw a video/theory Charlie was wearing a bullet proof vest. Bullet hits the vest and ricochets to the throat. I have no idea if that’s possible but it did look like he was wearing something bulky under his shirt. Did he normally wear a vest? I don’t pay much attention to him but I could understand why if he did have one on.

That was an obvious kill shot. Seeing that close up video of the shooting was too much for me. Shouldn’t have clicked on it.

Bulletproof vests catch the bullet and dissipate the energy into layers of laminated kevlar, it makes no sense that it would ricochet like off a metal plate. If he were wearing an AR500 plate, maybe? But that would be pretty apparent

September 11Sep 11 Level 3 armor(rated to stop rifle rounds is pretty noticeable and heavy as hell, lower grade armor wouldn’t of touched it. 14 minutes ago, RexWilson said: Saw a video/theory Charlie was wearing a bullet proof vest. That's not how those vests work, and if they were shooting center mass, any number of factors could have caused them to hit his neck.
September 11Sep 11 Author My son is a junior in HS. Just got home from band. He said they had big discussion in his 7th period. Kids mostly quiet. Talking about the importance of free speech and how wrong it is to harm someone because you don't like their beliefs. I was glad to hear it. Wasn't glad to hear there were kids watching the video so he had seen it. As far as Charlie Kirk’s reach goes, he said every kid knew his was whether they, or their parents, agreed with him. Get the feeling this will be one of those teen moments for him that we all have that we’ll never forget.

I absolutely feel bad for the wife and kids. I am sick of the people (my 19 year-old cousin on FB) who didn't know who he was yesterday and who posted a video of themselves crying about this trying to make people feel bad for them (instead of the wife and kids), but that's for the stupid shit we see on FB thread (or the Anthony Jeselnik thread). Given how well this was pulled off apparently, I won't be surprised if there are others. They had the discipline to setup properly, take one shot, and then escape. That really cannot be understated - this was somebody who rehearsed it/trained for it. If they had missed, I have no doubt they would not have taken a second shot. How many of us have ever went to a range or wherever to do a little shooting, and hit exactly what we aimed at on the very first shot with no warmup? A very tiny target at that at that distance. I kind of suspect he was aiming center mass, but we'll never know. He was definitely patient and disciplined, from the closeup video I saw, he waited until Kirk had paused/was not moving around/or was squared up (prior to that, Kirk moved around a lot). And I'm also wondering if what the cops recovered was meant to throw them off the trail. I mean, I don't want to go down the Jason Bourne/Jackal trail, but....it seems like a lot of the shooters we have in the US have mental health issues that leave them lacking in discipline before and after shit goes down. The nutcase that shot the two politicians in Minnesota, the cops fingered him almost right away as the main suspect because he had fucked up in a couple of different ways and put a "IT'S ME" sign on his back. This guy does not fit that category at all. Shit was thought out well in advance.

OJ was something that fucked up the Rockets game my mom had recorded for me on VCR while I was in basic training. edit: We literally heard about the OJ chase the day after, because it was in the one newspaper we were allowed to read, and it was fucking wild as shit, I will admit. My middle-schooler had no clue today and overheard my wife and I talking about it. Our neighbor's kids (freshman and junior in high school) said they talked about it a bit in class, but nobody really seemed to know him, or if they did, it was because of memes (and they apparently didn't even know his name, just the memes in the past). But this is a small sample, and they are both jocks and tend to ignore a lot of stuff. Edited September 11Sep 11 by atomheartbevo
