September 15Sep 15 Ok Sydney Sweeney was just falling out of her dress. What’s the deal with the reducing $ to boys and girls clubs? I missed the first part of the show. Money to them goes down if speakers go long?!? Also I like Nate Bargatze but he seems overwhelmed. Edited September 15Sep 15 by DDD Dad
September 15Sep 15 Nate does seem a bit flustered. The speech length bit isn’t bad, but it didn’t quite land well enough initially (audience taking it too seriously), so the call backs aren’t working either. Good speech from the young actor from Adolescence. Proper scouser.
September 15Sep 15 Didn't see the show, but watched a bit on YouTube. Bargatze always seems uncomfortable. Not sure it isn't part of his schtick. The money bit was genius.
September 15Sep 15 The Boys and Girls Club bit was so cringe, it reminded me of Scott’s Tots. So hilarious, but a bit niche for such a wide audience. I love Nate, but he’s a too clean and nice to be satirical. This probably wasn’t the right lane for him. I hope CBS gives him another Christmas Special. He killed that.
September 15Sep 15 I’ve been a Nate fan since he was pudgy with the bowl haircut but this was not for him.
September 15Sep 15 Started Adolescence after this. Crazy to do a 3 episode show as a Onner (spelling?). And it’s Tommy from Snatch, which blew my mind a bit.

It won because of oner filming style. Nothing else really stood out about the show other than kids are horrible to each other. Without the owners it get lost on Netflix.
September 15Sep 15 Don't listen to this guy. The kid was great. The psychologist was great. The parents were great. There's a reason 3 of the actors won an award. The Penguin was its main competition and only Milioti won for that. The final episode touched on something you never see out of any of these type of shows.
September 15Sep 15 yeah, i couldn't disagree with that more. it was a very important show in this day and time, which is a rare thing. it was also pulled off amazingly well.
