I don't think we really need to show anything off like that against the scrubs.

until we complete 3 sustained scoring drives, we're the scrub

I'd like our offensive linemen to all get some push and look less like this:

Arch/offense will be better because 1.) Basically have to, noehwere to go but up;and 2.) Sam Houston is a contender for worst FBS team.

There are going to be a lot of easy plays to be made and they'll make some of them. It would be nice to see them make a lot of them, and for them to actually look crisp and easy.

A boy can dream.

We’ll see. It doesn’t get much easier than some of the throws he’s fucked up the last 3 weeks

I really dont give a shit if we blow them out right away.

I'd rather see Arch make throws confidently, then hopefully eventually make those confident throws accurately with consistency.

Don't worry about making big mistakes that potentially cost us the game. They won't.

This is a win even with 2 pick sixes. Relearn your muscle memory and visualize the throws you wanna make where you wanna make them.

I Guess If You Say So GIF

For old times sake I hope we saved the Matt Mattox "call mama" play and run it 20 times in a row to open the game and bench whoever doesn't do their job.

Then, all starters - at least on defense - need to be on the sidelines after the first series after halftime. Heaven forbid we reveal our two deep to SEC scouts.

So a defensive score then?

You want to bench all of our starting defense in a 10-3 ballgame?

No. He's saying bribe that WKU QB into the portal.

We cover this every year, but this game is on sec+ or espn+.

I have YTTV, which has the sec network, so I should have access to sec+, but when I try to access that channel on the ESPN app it asks me to buy and activate another bullshit bundle.

I remember some discussion about this new bundle before the season, but does it mean YTTV owners are fucked? Help an old out plz.

I don't, I have SEC but anything with a + on it requires a pay per view.

When you go into the espn app, look for login, then choose login with tv provider.

It’ll make you verify either on web or yttv app on phone.

Once logged in, no problem. espn+, sec+, whatever.

ETA: this is my setup, works just fine.

From SEC website: https://www.secsports.com/about-secnetwork-plus

Q: What is the difference between SEC Network+ and ESPN+?

A: SEC Network+ is complementary to SEC Network offering exclusive digital events. It is accessible with your TV provider credentials and is available via the ESPN App on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch. ESPN+ is the No. 1 sports streaming platform, serving fans in the U.S. with exclusive access to more than 27,000 live sports events each year, an unmatched library of on-demand replays and acclaimed original content, and premium written articles by the top reporters and analysts from ESPN.com. Fans sign up to ESPN+ for just $9.99 a month (or $99.99 per year) at ESPN.com, ESPNplus.com or on the ESPN App (mobile and connected devices).

Q: If a game is airing on both SEC Network+ and ESPN+ simultaneously, where do I watch?

A: Both streams will be available in the ESPN App. SEC Network authenticated subscribers of AT&T TV, Cox, DIRECTV, DISH Network, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Optimum, Sling TV, Spectrum TV, Suddenlink, Verizon Fios, Xfinity TV, YouTube TV, Vidgo, members of the NCTC, as well as those with access to SEC Network through TV connected devices, can watch the game via SEC Network+.

Q: ESPN+ is a paid subscription. Do I have to pay separately to access SEC Network+?

A: No. SEC Network+ is complementary to SEC Network and part of your subscription with your cable, satellite, or streaming provider.

Then you're not properly logged in with your TV credentials

You can have both a TV provider log-in and an ESPN+ subscription log-in simultaneously to access content, usually you get prompted when you click on the game for which to use.

Guess I'll have to wait until Saturday morning because there's no live sec+ content live on the app right now to test this. I do show logged in to YTTV and Mydisney.

I also have YTTV but I’m pretty sure you also need to be subscribed to ESPN, which I am. A couple times I’ve had to do the log in with subscriber (YTTV) deal

Fuckin hell, now I am more confused. I thought SEC+ was locked behind the ESPN+ subscription. But I guess not?

If I have access to the SEC Network via xfinity credentials, I have access to SEC+ on the ESPN App?

To clarify on your point, your tv package has to have espn, and then you can log into the espn app. If your tv package does not have espn, then you have to pay for it.

Well, if we have 3 and they have 10, I'd move our starting defense to offense. I guess we could leave them on D and punt on 1st down to get more defensive scoring opportunities.

But realistically - we're up by 3 scores and there will be no melt down like if player ___x__ goes down for the season in that scenario.

Watched the game yesterday and the 10 incompletions in a row start with this first one which is the missed touchdown to Wingo. Arch was criticized in the first two games for not throwing with anticipation. Here is tries to anticipate.

image.png.4947881d02bd5b1c1a596c412a09eb2f.png

Is it on Arch or is it on Wingo? Is Wingo to shallow or is Arch to deep. They will know we will never know.

image.png.0b6dc09cff19fb4c0da69f9be1b583da.png

Same kind of thing happens later in the streak with Wingo, Arch anticipates Wingo going outside but Wingo goes inside. These two guys need to get out there like Colt and Shipley and figure it out.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. I log in the same way regardless if it's a regular ESPN channel, Fox Sports etc. I go to texaslonghorn.com and click on live video. A big list of providers comes up, I click on mine and log on and watch. I never have an issue with any ESPN/Fox Sports channel but any + channel always asks me to pay for it. And my provider channel lineup shows I don't get the + channels. Some have a separate ESPN package for $9.99-$19.99 and maybe that get's you the + channels, but all the regular ESPN channels are included in my package so I have to pay for +.

I think Wingo slowed a little bit in the middle of that route. That doesn’t mean it’s his fault, it means two people haven’t figured out their timing yet.

As someone who was you a few years ago, you are wrong. Go look very very closely at what you are doing and you’ll will find you can access it. I can’t remember the exact thing I was doing wrong. It was confusing for sure.

Right? Pointing out glaring deficiencies and supporting your statements with data is hardly stirring up crap.

I’ve gotten a lot of “hook em” signs here at SFO this morning.

Based on the number of people who have done this to me (I’m wearing a burnt orange shirt with Bevo on it), I’m feeling like we will come out swinging and get in their ass good.

Final Score:

Texas - 17

SHSU - 11

I don't think i ever remember coming into a cupcake game pre conference and hoping for A Drive.   A well thrown pass.   Like just.   Something.

Texas 40

SHSU 10

One game in a doesn't make or break a season.

One game doesn't mean if an offense is good or bad.

If Arch throws for 300+ and 3 scores against a team that on paper is overmatched does that mean he is "fixed" and you will have no qualms about the game in the Swamp or when Texas goes to Athens to play UGA?

I understand about all the hype around Arch coming into this season, the bloodlines, his recruiting ranking etc.....but from what I have seen in the parts of the three games I have watched there are bigger issues with this offense.

How the fuck does Texas have this poor a run game against San Jose State and UTEP with the way they have recruited in the offensive line?

I don't care if they are crowding the line of scrimmage, find a fucking way to run the ball.

Hell, Auburn is moving the ball with Arnold at quarterback for goodness sake because they have schemed for it.

Texas right now reminds me of TCU in 2023 when they had Morris at quarterback, couldn't decide which receivers to play, couldn't decide which back to go with, and had no identity.

Fuck the experts, fuck the people on social media who are "breaking down film", use this game to figure what group of plays you can effectively run and build from there.

Dude. Struggling against Sam Houston State on offense would significantly decrease the probability that the offense can get to any acceptable level this year. Yes, one game doesn't make a season. But it sure as shit can be a harbinger of what is to come.
