ESPN did a terrible job explaining that drop kick. The reason they tried it was because there was a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the extra point that put the kickoff at the 50.f021c3d44634d269f839bae3db40bd05.jpg

bears defense is the real deal. still can't believe spider-2-y-banana let mack go.

Since giving away that Super Bowl they have been pretty unspectacular.
Helluva hang over.

Got caught up in the Russ hype and went away from what worked for them.

Combination of the Bears defense and Seattle O-line is going to have Russell seeing ghosts for a while.

They put a lot of money in their defense and didn't bother addressing the offensive line. Retaining Tom Cable for all those years didn't help.

what the fuck was the seattle player doing?

and that should be a safety, he didn't possess the ball until it was fully in the endzone.

Rule is that after the kicking team touches the ball, the receiving team can grab it and if things go wrong they can opt to take it where the kicking team touched it. Or if it works, they can take the result of the play.

and according to jeff tripplette, i'm wrong.

you were not wrong. he didn't have it until the ball was well over the line

Exactly. Build that Oline, run the ball successfully and let Russ work his magic in spots. He's not Aaron Rodgers.

Also, only watching this for the dicko road show.

Same, but the Bears defense is actually quite awesome and fun.

ah, this makes sense. i kind of remember a rule like this now. i don't have the volume particularly high at the moment.

Will Dickson do the onside kick?

Yep, the Cowboys (of all teams) scored on a punt return a few years back on this exact scenario.

yeah, that was underwhelming. he can't kick that that hard and hope for recovery.
