Kat Vargas, y'all. She's also the who called Cruz out on his bullshit at the Houston airport the day before the No Kings events.

She also talked about the MAGA talking points about all the signs being made and distributed and the "protesters" being paid by Soros. I believe her line was "We hate Ted Cruz for free!"

Cruz done fucked up ... and don't even think about making her take off her chancla.

Let's fucking go. I'll follow her & Jasmine into battle anytime.

Had not heard of this until today.

Mass Blackout coming. Mark your calendars. It's time to show those who would rule us that we do not need to buy from them. #Blackout #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory

It’s a good idea, but will never happen on a mass scale.

I will participate only because I will be at the ranch by myself and completely blackout drunk 80% of that week. You're welcome America.

#456

I'll be forced to participate because I'll be on days 56 through 63 of working without pay by then.

I applaud this idea. We all need to make some tough decisions to send a clear signal to those mother fuckers!!!!  Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

*But I have tickets to the aggy game on Nov. 28 and will need to buy a lot of beer and BBQ for that, so, sorry guys, I'm out.

This shit annoys me. Yes, we need to start thinking about a national strike, but in like a month? Not gonna happen. For one, most aren’t there yet when it comes to true pain. And two, it needs true national coordination for several months to pull it off. But when stuff like this pops up and it inevitably fails, it continues the narrative of an ineffectual resistance and further lowers morale

I caught part of Dan Abrams show on Sirius this afternoon.  He was going off on Trump over the $230m payment from the DOJ.   My thought was:

  • The crypto dinner at Mar-A-Lago in May wasn't a problem for him.
  • The Qatari airplane "gift" wasn't a problem for him.
  • The Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom paid for by "donors" wasn't a problem even with the "cost" now being $350m

This 230m was the thing he had an issue with because it involved "tax payer money".

Motherfucker, his dinner at Mar-A-Lago (and all of his fucking golf trips) cost us money.  We're spending hundreds of millions on the Qatari plane that will eventually end up in Trump's hands.   That costs us money.

Whether this is factual reporting, or not, this plan is organized, and it is resistance.

“A man has ruffled some feathers after having successfully trained crows to swoop down on unsuspecting MAGA hat wearers. Taking to his Threads page, Dave, who goes by the username “biz_dave”, went viral after documenting all the steps and stages of his corvid training stages, showing how a handful of peanuts, months of patience, and a dash of political mischief turned local crows into red-hat-removing legends.”

If people really want to organize a resistance it’ll have to be done quietly and not put in the open. Resistance against fascists works when done in secret. It also is going to require people to change their lifestyle entirely.

Also it’ll be hard for Americans to replicate any historical forms of resistance because, well, we are now the “decadent Americans” Japan thought we were in the 1930’s. They nailed the description, but we’re a few decades off in it truly becoming a reality. We have too much of everything. How many here are truly willing to see your lifestyle reduced from what it currently is? How many will sacrifice the amount of money your bank account takes in on a monthly basis? When people talk resistance I do not believe that Americans are as willingly to continually protest against their government as, for example, what the indigenous people of New Caledonia have done against France. Those who have little to lose are more eager to have their voice heard than those who live comfortably. We live good lives monetarily here in comparison to most of the world.

The one aspect that the cronies for TFG completely get is that Americans will not bring the economy to a screeching halt because people don’t want to lose their jobs and the access to new shiny things when they want them. Millions upon millions of Americans would have to in unison just stop working and bring the economy to a grinding halt. Would I do that if that is what it would take? I would, BUT I should preface that I would do it because I am not married and have no kids. Many of you are inching closer to retirement and don’t want to see that schedule delayed by stopping work for what could be many months or a year’s worth. I understand the reluctance there. You can’t afford to strike and see your children do without. TFG knows this and he has millions of you stuck in no man’s land because of it.

Until America gets to that point, talk of resistance means little if there is no actual concrete plans that back it up.

Your point is valid. At least until folks figure out they are already dead.
