December 16Dec 16 Good: - Durant blocking shots and getting deflections like it’s the 2018 Finals. - Alpie trading blows with the 3 time MVP. - Reed hit a clutch 3 near the end of regulation. Bad: - I hated how they defended Murray. Amen or Okogie needed to be in his pocket all night. You’re going to lose when Murray scores 30+ because Jokic is going to get his regardless. - They missed a few free throws here and there that would have really helped. I understand missing a couple in the bonus, but they have to finish and 1’s if they’re not going to shoot 3’s with anymore of volume. - Turnovers. Denver is a middling defensive team. They have no business forcing 16 turnovers. Durant had 5 and Alpie had 4. I get they initiate the offense and they get trapped on every play. But Okogie had 3. He either needs to tighten that up or they need to bring his minutes way down.

Ref thought Amen tripped him, he didn't, they had to find other proof to keep it as a foul. Also the fact the ball wasn't even in play yet, just a terrible decision to blow the whistle.

December 16Dec 16 Yeah, that contact with THJ and Amen was incidental and should not be called a foul. Him falling looked like he lost his balance trying to make the turn around the other players. The contact was so weak it was hard to tell in the replay if it had anything to do with it, and calling that live is just ridiculous. There is absolutely no way the ref saw the little brush of contact on the court.
December 16Dec 16 Author the end of the game was horseshit but man that last couple of minutes where the rockets were going shot for shot with denver was fucking awesome. KD, Jabari, Reed, and Sengun all hit massive shots down the stretch.
December 16Dec 16 no it wasn't. He tripped and incidentally bumped Amen's shin. Horseshit call. He was losing control before any contact which was negligible anyway. IF the jerseys were reversed you would be losing your mind, not saying "good call." Take your gift and move on. Edited December 16Dec 16 by ChickenSandwich
December 16Dec 16 KD’s missed regulation FT and this garbage call on Amen cost us a win vs the Thunder and Nuggets. Frustrating but they still have to learn how to close great teams out. Props to Denver for putting the Joker on Amen in the second half. Amen was not able to attack him and was a dead spot in many half court offensive sets.
December 16Dec 16 Yeah, Durant has missed two big FTs late in games that help lead to OT losses. Like I said, we are a rotational guard away from being a true contender this season. I would love to get Grimes for Tari+matching salary+some 2nd rounders. Just need one more guard on nights when the bench was struggling to put anything into the basket.

December 17Dec 17 One of the most crucial calls in the game, a foul against Thompson for tripping Hardaway that resulted in a tying free throw for the Nuggets in the waning seconds of regulation, was not reviewed by the report. But it was challenged by Houston during the game and upheld upon review. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/47329064/three-incorrect-calls-favored-nuggets-ot-win
December 17Dec 17 So those 3 officials should be suspended for 2 weeks, right? Otherwise, this report means absolutely nothing. Either coaches need more challenges, or the NBA needs more late and close replay initiated reviews.

December 19Dec 19 Durant is trying to assist his teammates but they are all playing like scrubs. He's going to have to do it all himself
December 19Dec 19 The Freddy V offseason injury was unfortunate. Ended our championship hopes before the season began
December 19Dec 19 Zion must be terrible. Bro goes out down 22 late in the 3rd. Never comes back and his squad wins in OT. KD has to get off the ball. He's not a Point Forward and is creating too many turnovers. Is pace an issue for the Rockets? Young & fast teams seem to cause an issue.

Well you don't have a point guard.
Friday at 05:57 PM5 days I am a little curious about what's changed in the WNBA that justifies a price tag of $250m when the Comets couldn't find a buyer at $10m 13 years ago.

The values have grown substantially in the last couple years: Quote WNBA revenue has surged, projected around $180-$200 million in 2023/2024, with some reports suggesting a potential $354 million for 2024 driven by sponsorship and the "Caitlin Clark effect". However, despite increased revenue, the league operated at a $40 million loss in 2024 and faces ongoing Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) talks, with players seeking a larger revenue share (around 30%) compared to the current small percentage (under 10%) to match NBA standards, while the league pushes for significant salary cap and player compensation increases tied to growth. Key Revenue Figures & Trends: 2022: ~$60 Million 2023: ~$180-$200 Million 2024 (Projected): $180-$200 Million, with some estimates reaching $354 Million. Growth Drivers: Major sponsorship deals, increased viewership, and star power like Caitlin Clark have dramatically boosted revenue. Financial Status & Player Compensation: Profitability: Despite revenue growth, the league reported a $40 million loss for the 2024 season. Player Share: Players currently receive less than 10% of league revenue, far less than the NBA's ~50%. CBA Negotiations (Late 2025): Union Proposal: Seeks a significant increase to ~30% revenue share, aiming for average salaries to exceed $500k and max salaries over $1M+. League Proposal: Includes a major salary cap increase (tripling from ~$1.5M to $5M) and higher player earnings through revenue sharing. Impact of "Caitlin Clark Effect": The arrival of Caitlin Clark drove substantial attendance and revenue, with one expert attributing 26.5% of the league's $200M revenue in 2024 to her. Team Valuations: Forbes recently valued the New York Liberty at $400M, highlighting the league's growing financial interest, notes ESPN.
