I have a good buddy named Orion.

Nothing is ever over with this Dodger bully

if castellanos is out at second that’s huge.

Holy shit, should have stuck with Roki

Not the smartest risk to take with no outs but he got in there.

what a play by mookie, and what an athlete he is. one of the best ss in baseball.

Great play by Muncy.

wHy DOn't ThEy juSt BUnT?

with all of the hits and balls put in play, that bunt decision is just baffling. the dodgers bullpen sucks, i’m sure they could not have been more thrilled to see a sacrificial out, and one that ended up moving philly backwards.

Never in doubt

Good game.  Playoff baseball is the best.

absolute choke job by philly, and it’s all on that bewildering decision to bunt.

Terrific play at first base there for the closer

Freddie has saved a lot of asses with his stellar D. Fucking almost Steve Saxed that throw

I wasn’t watching so only saw bunt and fc on the gamecast, but you cannot let the 1b field the ball on a sac to 3rd.  You just can’t have your bat angled that way ever.

If you are talking about the bunt in the 9th, Muncy fielded it, Muncy was playing 3B.

Oh. He said Freddie so I made an assumption. Maybe he meant some other play.

Freddie saved the spike into the ground Edman delivered from 2B for the final out.

It was actually a pretty good bunt.  But Muncy was standing on top of him and Castellanos was holding his dick and got a terrible jump.

^ And Thomson saved his faster runner.

In 2025, it is blisteringly easy to find any big play in a matter of seconds. Only Duck would read Gamecast & just guess, then post said guess.

BTW, listened to a great postgame interview with Max.  They never practice the wheel route (bunt to third, short immediately breaks to third, 3b wheels throw to third), but Mookie said if they bunt we HAVE to try because they felt the game slipping away.  It was executed to perfection.  They don’t make that play, we lose I think.  Max’s throw was spot fucking on.

Per Freddie's description, with him running to cover second, it meant no coverage at first, which meant all eggs were in the basket of making that play at third.  It doesn't work, and at best we're tied, at worst we lose.

I think he said Tommy (Edman) covers 1st.  So Freeman needs to beat the batter to 2nd in case the batter is safe at 1st.

Hmm, then why wouldn't Edman just cover 2nd as he's already right there?  I don't know.  Just glad it worked!

it was a the perfect bunt for the dodger defense

softer bunt down the 1st base line and everyone is safe
