Yeah nah Arch is missing wide open guys over and over it’s done. Arch stinks.

Maybe with no pass rush he’s solid.

Seems to be a recurring theme with Sark QBs they can’t do well with pass rushers coming in.

Caldwell looks nice back there 1/1

At least let him finish the drive. Manning had no desire to throw on the last 3 plays. None. Too worried about an INT.

Agreed. I was hoping they did.

Caldwell had more poise in the pocket than Arch. Plus he steps into his throws. Start him or at least give him reps for Red River. OU will be surprised

I was actually hoping that the running clock would prevent us from being able to sub him out.

Haha, my first thought when I read the thread title was: He seems a little light for a guard, but he couldn't be any worse.

In shorts! Against air!

he needs a shot.

not gonna get it till we suck ass through a straw in the first half next week

NIL shouldn’t matter. The best players will play.
Agreed but it will. Same as in pro sports, keeping the players out there they paid the most. A lot of politics are going to happen with the NIL money. A lot of money was spent to get him in here, he won't be benched.

that game was not on Arch, but not knowing to throw the fucking ball away twice on the last drive is fucking ridiculous.

we would be 4-0 if we had an average SEC/big XII QB and average LG

Maybe with an average LG only. That hole is massive.

This shit is gonna be Chris Simms all over again

This is the problem when you just annoint the QB over having him win the job.  Should have been a battle so if Arch wins it, it would prove he had the mental strength to do it.

These threads are obviously idiotic but FWIW, Caldwell came in cold and threw the best anticipation pass of the game. Wingo wasn’t open when he released it but broke open to the pass precisely how it is drawn up. Perfect anticipation. Which stands in stark contrast to Manning needing at least six seconds in the pocket and someone to break open by ten yards before he throws it. Very frustrating.

What about the other two picks

and the 3 or 4 missed wide open TDs?

that’s the OL fault too?

They will say it’s all on the OL. Yes he was hit on one or two throws. But not all of them.

Turns out he sucked so bad a gimpy snake bit Quinn kept startin

He was hit because he waits to throw it until the last possible second and it’s a desperation heave with zero accuracy usually too deep

Most of it....yes

If you watch enough college football, every QB makes some dogshit throws.  The RBs had 15 FUCKING YARDS TODAY.  Our entire offense was Arch (but for the one Caldwell pass)

So maybe the better qb is actually starting this year also?  I know it’s a grim thought.

True.  But he’s making wayyyy you many. Even if you include the OL issues.

Excellent analysis in a chuckle-head thread.

Damn! Extrapolate that out!

Guys guys guys…both the O-line and Arch can both suck. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. Thats why this team is so special.

who do you think we have for a coach, Bob Stoops ?

He was 16/29.  It wasn't great but with that line and that running game and being behind all game that's probably about as good as it gets.
