We aren't going 5-7. I'm sorry that a lot of you still think that.

I'm also sorry that you think that Arch is the same as Garret Gilbert.

This team may really disappoint and go 8-4. That doesn't make this the same as 2010. Coaches need rebuilding years sometimes. Sark isn't at the end of his tenure and getting lazy.

In 2010, you probably thought to yourself, as we all did, that we’re coming off a national championship game appearance, and a Fiesta Bowl win the season before, and with a highly touted QB and some young talent, that the future was bright. But reality is that Mack’s tenure finished 30-21 with a holiday bowl and Alamo bowl win.

It isn't at all. A lot of you just like to be miserable and ignore data points when it comes to evaluating teams.

yeah, agreed this is more upsetting.  oline and coaching is somehow worse.

plus our hc doesn't even have the goodwill of a championship  behind him

I understand the dumbshit false-equivalency that you are making. I didn't need you to explain it to me.

Maybe go look up what the 2010 team did week after week.

This isn't that. We have taken a step back but this team is fine and can still compete for an SEC title.

Cool. If that's how you feel then quit posting and go drink a gallon of bleach so you never have to watch another game.

Some of us don't jump off the ledge just because we lost a couple tough games the first half of the season.

lol do you really think this is a well coached team??

It's a bit or mental derangement with him. He will post how everyone is a pussy and stupid, claim Texas will beat X team. Then after a loss, try to shame anyone who expresses concern about the team, rinse and repeat. If you don't seal your lips to the pipe and inhale all the burnt orange smoke available, you're an infidel.

Anyways, to the topic at hand, I think the OU game tells the story. A bit of a cop-out, but if Arch can just improve on more than a few things, the team comes out understanding that they are underdogs now and the butt of many jokes, and plays with some spine, it's doable. The 1st quarter will tell the tale of that one. I have less faith in the coaches

Yes it's called being an optimist and believing in the team. A lot of you should try it sometimes.

The idea that I'm cool with everything that happened today is laughable. I was talking shit about Texas' performance the entire game in the game thread.

I'm cool with leaving Flood and Banks both on the tarmac after today.

I shame the people that post stupid fucking shit during the game and after.

The top 2 teams to start the year were Texas and Penn State and both got worked by dogshit teams today. No one knows shit about fuck

In what world does this team win out lol. Are any of yall watching the games? This team is TERRIBLE. what do they do well? Name something. It’s impossible on the offensive side. We thought we could rely on our defense and we just let a one legged quarterback do whatever he wanted and we let them run down our throats all game. Special teams is and always has been a total joke under Banks so nothings changing there.

We underperform quite well. Our coaches draw up bad schemes

What number is higher? Your level of concern on a scale of 1-10, or your revised predicted win total?

Im going with a tie at 8

I'll go 9-3. I think we smoke OU next week, split UGA and aggy and win everything else.

Outside chance at the CFP.

We'll see.

You mean like some predicting this garbage team going 9-3? They are winning max 2 more games.  The UTEP game is who this team is to its core.

This team isn't going 5-7.

Fine. They'll lose to Arkansas too.

2-5 but wining @ Kentucky seems challenging

Oklahoma - loss
Kentucky - win
Mississippi State - loss
Vanderbilt - loss
Georgia - annihilation
Arkansas - win
Texas A&M - loss

How will we finish? Will Sark find a way to regroup or is this team cooked?

We looked mediocre against bottom G6 teams, and looked like dog shit against a bad Florida team. We will be lucky if we can beat Arkansas and Kentucky.

3-4 or 4-3. I don’t see how we beat OU, UGA, Vandy. We could maybe spring one  on OU or Vandy but I don’t trust we can win the others. A loss to Aggy should put some heat on Sarks chair imo.

I really don't understand this.

Why isn't the Sam Houston game who this team is to its core?

Aren't they equally valid answers, on different days, i.e. the defining characteristic of this team is its inconsistency?

Sam Houston isn't a real football team. We have a 4 game sample against somewhat functioning football programs that shows this team is trash. We have 1 game against a barely highschool level team that made us look decent. This is a bad football team. We have a massive hole at left guard and center, and apparently have no way to fix it this season. Even if we got those two positions sorted, we are looking at a ceiling of 9 wins. But this is a non physical team that believed the hype coming in. It is poorly coached, poorly disciplined, and mentally weak. The fact that we portaled in 100 dlineman but not a 1 on the oline shows how fucking oblivious this staff is. And it is pretty clear that Sark has zero fucking clue how to get his team prepared and motivated to play against equally talented teams.

The way this season is going, aggy gon' win it all.

/ducks

A team like Oregon would have had 20 points on aggy by halftime last night and it would have been over.

I mean, we might do something fucked up like show up and beat OU, similar to Florida showing up today. But I see a very mediocre team and a ton of it is Arch failing to do basic things the offense requires.

We probably lose next week to blow U and maybe Georgia, but sneak past Vandy and upset aggy

I’m thinking 7-5 which is probably too optimistic.  Arch isn’t who we thought he was but neither is the talent on this team as a whole.

The only thing going for us so far is that we haven't been blown out in our losses - so there is a chance at 9 regular season, if the team improves as the season goes on - I do think its possible but unlikely 😑

Seems a little fucked up for an obviously mentally ill alcoholic to be telling someone else to kill themselves over understandable angst after a loss but that's just me

I think the chance of a 9 win season is the same as solving a np-complete problem on non quantum computer

While I am not happy with what has happened last week, I am confident that the team can win all of its remaining games provided that leaders on the team come forward.

Seems on brand for a mentally ill alcoholic to be honest.  It’s cry and be pissed when I want and how dare you be negative when I flip my own tune.  But the poster in question stopped boozing, I thought.  If not, I guess things make more sense.

It’s a shitty disease so I’ll always wish for the best for anyone dealing with that shit.

We're going to beat OU and Georgia but lose to Kentucky. And I'll be just as confused

Tom Herman ain’t walking through that door.

We're going to the Pop Tarts Bowl or Armed Forces Bowl

The Pop Tarts bowl is legit, it has a "history of creative and unconventional promotions, including a mascot that gets toasted and eaten by the winning team after the game"
