Then run the other way. Easy.

More likely, LG false starts them all the way back to their own goal line.

It’s crazy that we’re almost to the midway point of the season and we have no idea who our starting left guard will be at Texas/OU. It could realistically be any of three or four different people.

Does the Nick Brooks era start this week?

Fuck that

Put Neto in to fight with the okies. At least that will be entertaining and maybe light a fire under our asses.

So will both teams be without their starting QB this week

Mateer was suited up yesterday, but there’s no way he’s playing this weekend. I don’t believe he has thrown a football yet.

Here’s a look at Hawkins from yesterday. He had some careless moments that would’ve been turnovers against better teams, but he also made some great throws. I don’t expect Texas to be able to run the ball at all, and I think Manning might want to figure out some survival skills on passing plays.

I say I won’t watch this garbage but I will. It’ll be offensive futility galore if mateer doesn’t play. Our defense lets them score. Their defense no lubes us. Probably mid 20s to low 10s. Ou probably wins but still sucks at life

I hope Sark can find the 11 yards somewhere (and I am not really trying to knock Tre here)

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here gentlemen. We must ask what does George Costanza (Heliobious) think? Then and only then, can we lose our shit!

From what I saw of Hawkins, he was throwing 50/50 balls against Kent State that would be defended easily (or picked) by a team who isn't Little Sisters of the Poor.

But then again, I saw Lagley have a dang fine game against our supposedly good D while throwing 5 picks against someone else.

I know you're risking fumbles with Gibson, but we're gonna have to start playing him when it matters.

And I'm assuming Baxter is still out, because that's what I'm going to assume about him going forward as long as he is a part of this team.

Counterpoint

ousucks a statistically unfathomable amount of suck.

PK will have his side ready. I think the D at least has more pride than the offense and they make enough plays that even our regarded offense and Sark can't botch.

screens, hot routes, quick reads, max protection, pitch outs, you know, anything we haven't done yet, might keep the O on the field long enough to give the D a chance to win the game for us

which reminds me......

i ran across this last night....

everyone knows gardere beat 0u 4 in a row

did you know he shares the career picks record of 45 with colt?

Who gives a shit.

Fuck this coaching staff.

It's us versus them.  The results go in the record books for as long as anyone keeps records of college football.

We've had heroes over the years like Bubba Jacques and Wane McGarrity and Johnny Walker and Case McCoy and Stoney Clark and the Cash twins.  I haven't forgotten their names or what they did in those games.

Do you think OU is happy about having Venables as a coach?  This is the first time he's has a whiff of success and we can take that all away from them on Saturday.

Frankly it bothers me when people say "Fuck this coaching staff" or worse yet, "I hate this team." We have good years and bad years and mediocre years.  Just like with Royal, Akers, McWilliams, Mackovic, Brown, Strong, and Herman.  I was appalled by incompetence I saw on Saturday but it doesn't approach watching Herman "secure the bag" in the Texas Bowl.

Mateer was likely gonna play so ou could have a shot at beating Texas. After watching broken ass lagway and Florida face rape the entire team. ou isn’t going to risk mateer against a cupcake like us and save mateer for real teams that don’t su k

User name etc

This feels like 2001.

we can’t do shit on offense all day but have a chance to go drive for a go ahead score in the final possession.

if only we had a true freshman secret offensive weapon waiting on the bench that our 2025 head coach would dare not make the same mistake with as our 2001 coach.

all that said, this probably means it’ll be a 35-31 shootout)

I seriously expected to come on here and find the Sooners favored by 10+.  Hard to believe we are favored.

It's because their starting QB is out.  The line could still shift too.  We are just awful.

Their defense is light years better than uf. We aren’t scoring more than 30 I’ll be shocked if we score more 20

I honestly don’t see how we are gonna find the endzone minus a broken coverage or pick 6

How does it compare to UTEP? We scratched and clawed to get to 27 in that one.

Florida has a good defense. Light years is a stretch. Not that it matters

I’m thinking Arch may want to suit up a little differently this weekend.

image.jpeg.5549a7bfa7e369e805a257ac0e725a44.jpeg

I think OU will stack box to stop run and dare Arch to beat them throwing. Considering Arch has the accuracy and touch on the ball of "Peak Yip" Knoblauch I am very nervous that Texas cannot put up enough points.

Add in defense still in a Gainesville hotel (based on how they didn't show up on field Sat) and I see OU riding a momentum wave over Texas.

At the risk of being labeled a sunshine pumper, I really don’t see this being a blowout. I think the defense shows up to play and makes this a frustrating game to watch between two QB’s who struggle to move the ball.

I'm glad Texas can go back to embracing the spoiler role of trying to ruin good teams' seasons.

It's so much less pressure!
