He's another bad actor in a world that's been filled to the brim with them throughout the existence of human beings. Like every other fascist government this one will fall as well. They all do. They crash and burn. It's just how much time elapses between now and that point that determines how much destruction they get to bring into being. I don't like using the nazis as a comparison, but it's the easiest to do because it's the version of fascism people remember the most.

Its crazy to think people don't understand this its like that meme about opening the marriage and it not working for them but maybe it will for us. This all has the same endgame. Trump being elected was the true sign that we are solidly in the fourth turning and had the opportunity to change things because we knew what was happening. Kamala would have sucked relative to great presidents, but relative to what we are experiencing she may as well have been <insert your argument for best president ever> Trump is so fucking bad it is actually going to end America, that's where this ends and its so fucking obvious.

Thus attracting death threats and someone likely burning down their beach house. Now hold on there, that sounds like some states rights bullshit coming out of South Carolina, and we can’t have that - maybe President Trump needs to send some troops down there to occupy a fort and teach South Carolinians a lesson.

I have been reading some arson crime fiction. It points out that firemen are often the worst arson investigators and that the first thing they do is devastate the crime scene. So yeah it seems possible if not likely that we have only seen very preliminary investigation.

So yeah it seems possible if not likely that we have only seen very preliminary investigation. I think I see the problem... FIL was a retired FF. 30+ years on the Dallas FD. First thing they use are the arson dogs to detect for an accelerant. They're pretty damn quick to find one, which at 1130am on a Saturday and a occupied house, would seen evident if it was arson. "Devastated" crime scenes are often the result of water and structural damage from trying to put the fire out or contain it. I'd be curious what type of cars the family had and whether a battery cooked off in an EV.

You are using fiction to determine the validity of arson investigators' methods?
October 8Oct 8 I have been reading some arson crime fiction. It points out that firemen are often the worst arson investigators and that the first thing they do is devastate the crime scene. Yeah, shooting water through hoses, that eventually/hopefully extinguishes the fire, really bogs it down. Fucking amateurs. Edit: Damnit, I didn’t see Babayaga’s post.

Cue the Tesla/Cybertruck conspiracy speculation. Not that Musk hasn’t put himself in a position to be the object of paranoia. And an EV battery fire would be absolutely wild. The chances of that happening are, and I say this deliberately, Biblically low, with estimates being 0.0012% to 0.03%. Those odds playing out on this particular insurrectionist (not my words, but a description straight from the Deputy Chief of Staff) judge, at this particular time? Well, to me that would be Biblical.
