October 12Oct 12 Unpopular opinion? She was highly over-rated and a terrible choice as Michael Corleone’s girlfriend/wife. But…rest in peace?

October 12Oct 12 Hell, between the Godfather movies and Annie Hall. Fucking legend. RIP, nice-looking, polite lady.

You can't judge her acting bona fides based on a one-dimensional stereotypical role that wasn't fully-developed and only served to complicate the decisions made by the protagonist. It was a shit role that couldn't have been salvaged by Meryl Streep. In what other films do you think her performance is over-rated? Let's look at a more complicated multi-dimensional character for which she received positive reviews, but you think she sucked. It would be helpful for you to provide opinions on why the acclaim she receives from her contemporaries is unfounded. Or, are you just shitting on her entire career based on a limiting performance in a movie about dudes, for dudes.
October 13Oct 13 I thought she was sexy as hell in Something's Gotta Give. Looking for Mr. Goodbar was a dark choice for her.
October 13Oct 13 my white turtleneck futures are going to take a bath. once again, this is going to be a rough stretch for people 'our' age. rip.

So, I went back and reviewed all of her 70+ roles…and came to the exact same conclusion I did originally. She had a few decent roles but has received huge adoration, from people like yourself, that was disproportionate to her actual work. She didn’t suck in all roles, or even most. She’s just over-rated, in many of her roles.

I didn’t like her in many of her woody allen films but maybe it was because I do t like woody Allen.

She was an extremely talented actress. And a talented designer. Obviously not every role may have been a perfect match but she’s had a rich career. You must hate her for some other reason.

Well first of all, I never once said I hate nor did I say anything that would imply I hate her, so nice reading skills. I said over-rated. The definition of that term means people over-rate her talent. That does not mean she has no talent. This concludes the English lesson for today.
