The crazy thing is it is possible someone could have a better game.  And the only someone who could is Shohei.

Imagine if he didn’t miss that 3rd pitch in the 2nd

Watching the highlights, tip of the cap to Brian Anderson. Maybe my favorite current pxp announcer. Texas boy and Brewers pxp guy for the last ~2 decades.

Had to hurt watching his team get swept but consummate professional, called a great series for TBS.

Relieving a pitcher but keeping him in the game to bat will never get old to me. We'll probably never see this again.

How people can be OK with this and then get all up in arms over “Manfred-ball” in extras will never make sense to me.

Yes, and the best value contract in sports history.

Not even close but okay. Jordan up until '97 was making $4M a season.

I would say Shohei is pretty appropriately compensated.

Well the dh is bullshit to begin with.  I wish the dodgers would stop pussyfooting around and put him in RF when not pitching.  He was reportedly a great OFer in Japan.

I just remembered that Glasnow was a Pirate for his first three seasons and amassed a 3-11 record.

It’s almost as if the Pirates have spent the past 40+ seasons not investing in a roster that can compete

Bartolo Colon batted .138 in 2015.The Brewers as a team in the NLCS hit worse than 2015 Bartolo Colon. https://t.co/fz5mwP4Ynp

Not much that hasn’t been said WRT last night.

However, as Shohei was at the plate, crowd chanting MVP, and that piss missile sailed over the roof?

That was good shit. That was the sum of October, rolled into one moment. Fan or not, that was a great baseball moment.

Oh yeah, then he went yard again.

His focus and discipline is just incredible to watch.

This and Tony Cloninger throwing a complete game in the same game he hit two grand slams are the only real candidates. Ohtani’s is the best in the last half-century at least. It’s a wonderful debate. How much of a bump does Ohtani get for it being a pennant-clinching performance?
