We'll see how loyal he is when the DeBoer experiment runs dry.

We will.  I hope he stays.

"Heir apparent" shouldn't suggest he's better at it than the OG God Mike Leach.  But I see him picking up the mantle sword Mr. Leach laid down those years ago.

This is great for college football and I hope Cignetti never takes another job. That kind of money probably solidifies it.

He’s 0-10 in his HC career in playoff/bowl games. Good luck with that Indiana.

Well that settles it, they're winning the natty.

Elon U might beg to differ since Cignetti left NC for a conference rival at the time, JMU.

What are you talking about man, he has double digit playoff wins. He took JMU to the FCS NC game and semis twice, he has some other wins too.

Good thing Jimmy Chitwood spoke on his behalf.

I played at Indiana under DiNardo and Hoeppner. Everything that Indiana is now, and the flashes they have shown over the last 10 years or so was created by Terry Hoeppner.

I love having Coach Cignetti at the helm.

wonder what a contract extension for Saban today would be

Who would thought  Indiana would become a football school?

The fricken Indiana Hoosiers.....

Bobby Knight must be rolling around in his grave.

They're totally gonna renovate that stadium within 3 years.

I met a DE/OLB former player this weekend at KoKos Bavarian who was there for the afternoon games and some of the Texas game. He was in full Indiana gear and I yelled "this guy has been waiting for this his whole life" he came over and we bro hugged and he told me his story about how he's loved the program for so long and how great it is to be excited about it.

Being an Indiana fan has to be awesome right now.

Bob Bostad is their online coach, right?

It's truly wild that even 30 seconds of grade school level research would have told you that you're wrong here.

Helo just stumbles through life spreading his unique brand of stupidity. His lack of awareness is so complete I'm actually surprised he hasn't been run over by a train by this point in his life.

I went back and searched on Reddit where I had seen it, and I now see that the post has been deleted for being incorrect.

Where you got the idea doesn't matter. The point is still that had you even taken 30 seconds to look it up, you'd have known better. Like holy Christ man. You just blindly believing whatever bullshit you see on Reddit?

I am very happy for Indiana right now winning. Very, very happy we have Sarkisian and they have Cignetti. I would never want to change coaches.

My dad was born and raised in Bloomington. I have heard all of the lore and legends about the basketball team for 50 years. But football? Only "The Rose Bowl Team" was ever mentioned. No, they didn't say what year it was, as it only happened once.

One time, while visiting family, I said "Hey, why not drive past the football stadium?", my uncle looked at me like I was retarded and said "Why would we go over there? Nothing to see".  This little renaissance has been amazing, I almost don't believe it.

Anthony Thompson was a stud at RB for them back in the day and Randle El was good as well. Was a good little rivalry with UK with some good close games between them.

AT should've won the Heisman. No disrespect but fuck Andre Ware.

Randle El was ruined by Cam Cameron.

Book a national title for Indiana this season.

I am so, so disappointed in what his the board has become.

All this talk about Indiana football and not one mention of Dennis Quaid's rambling monologue about how each Fall the next great quarterback comes to Bloomington only to be never heard of again, or something along those lines, in this class late 70's movie:

Koko's Bavarian is back open? Best news I've heard this fall. Thanks!

I would take him a heart beat too.

I’ve been a fan of IU football since reading an SI article in 1967 about how then-coach John Pont gave his punter cart blanche to fake any punt he wanted to. I think that was the year they went to the Rose Bowl.

No questions asked. Dude can ball and he could actually land elite talent, but we need to keep PK.

It's a wild time to be a football fan in Indiana.  The Colts.  The Hoosiers.  Even ND getting shit together after 0-2 start.

And then there's Purdue.
