So, fire people, Indict people, deportation/kids in cages/gulags, and pardons for all J6 rioters.  That's four by my count.  I probably don't even want to know what they other one is.

It appears that Mike Davis is 1) an Iowa Hawkeye and 2) has never had a job outside of government/lobbying.

He's following the Rick Perry model.

Speaking of whom, when does he get deposed?

I look at the Article III Project acronym in the background and I immediately wondered why there was a Russian word there.

I think the Biden forces in the upcoming Civil War don’t really need to worry about arms and ammo - they just need to find a way to make the Trump Gravy Seals forces go on a forced march…any forced march.

Not being Stonewall’s foot cavalry, we should see an 80% mortality rate in Trump’s forces.

Organic from a marketing perspective (the way he would use it) would mean, because every accusation is a confession with the GOP, that he is trying to tell the GQP that these are fake voters, or that Taylor Swift is using her power to juice the voter registrations beyond their norms (how Trump's campaign used Cambridge Analytica).  He's not happy because this person is doing it with just a few comments at her concerns and social media postings, whereas the Trump campaign would have to spend a shitload of money/time.

And because it's mostly women, he's probably really pissed because Trump is pretty much tapped on in terms of attracting new voters.  Taylor Swift on the other hand, could bring in a shitload of young (and older) women who have never bothered to vote in the past, or even register.  It's like how there are enough registered voters in Harris County, who didn't vote, who could flip the state, or at least a lot of state-wide races if they were motivated to get out and vote - that situation terrifies people like Miller.

#25685

The only thing Stephen Miller knows about organics is how to harvest their organs.

Rock the vote pioneers were Tommy James and the Shondells

“The group toured with Vice President Hubert Humphrey during his 1968 presidential campaign, for which Humphrey showed his appreciation by writing the liner notes for their next album Crimson & Clover, which was released in December 1968.”

Terry Goodkind, even though he was writing this for a fantasy series, nailed today's GQP:

"People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

1.  The Satanists have always had a good sense of humor.

2.  Notice that no one ever trolls the Methodists?

Iowa wanted religious displays in their Capitol but said they wouldn’t discriminate against any religion and the Satanic Temple just put a display in there and every Republican who professes to just LOVE the First Amendment is losing their mind over it.

Quote

A satanic display placed in the Iowa Capitol is unconstitutional, says an eastern Iowa lawmaker who is calling on Gov. Kim Reynolds to order its removal.

Quote

In the Dec. 8 edition of his Sherman Liberty Letter, Rep. Brad Sherman, whose district covers Iowa County and part of Johnson County, also calls "for clarifying legislation to be adopted in accordance with our State Constitution that prohibits satanic displays in our Capitol building and on all state owned property."

He proposes additional legislation to clear the way for displaying the Ten Commandments in all state buildings, including the Capitol, and in Iowa public schools.

Quote

But Sherman, a pastor, may not have wholehearted support of his initiative from other Republican legislators, some of whom say they would oppose the government limiting freedom of speech in reaction to the display, which will be in place for a total of two weeks.

Quote

The controversy began bubbling last week after a group that calls itself the Satanic Temple of Iowa, though it lists no physical location on its Facebook page, placed with state permission a small altar on the first floor of the Capitol. It displays what are described online as the "seven fundamental tenets" of Satanism, including the statement that "the freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend."

Completing the display are the temple's seal, electric candles and a caped figure representing the pagan idol Baphomet, holding a ribbon-bedecked pentangle and topped with a gilded ram's head.

Quote

Sherman says the exhibit has drawn widespread "outrage and disgust" among Iowans, "but few people think there is much that can be legally done about it because of free speech and freedom of religion."

"However," he adds, "I disagree."

Quote

He points to the preamble to the Iowa Constitution, which says, "WE THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF IOWA, grateful to the Supreme Being for the blessings hitherto enjoyed, and feeling our dependence on Him for a continuation of those blessings, do ordain and establish a free and independent government, by the name of the State of Iowa... ."

"According to these opening lines of our Constitution, the foundation for laws and continued blessing and success in Iowa is based on these points: 1. There is One Supreme God. 2. Blessings over this state come from the One Supreme God. 3. We must depend upon the One Supreme God if we want to enjoy continued blessings," Sherman writes. He says it is "a tortured and twisted interpretation of law that affords Satan, who is universally understood to be the enemy of God, religious expression equal to God in an institution of government that depends upon God for continued blessings."

Quote

State Rep. Jon Dunwell, R-Newton, on X, the social platform formerly known as Twitter, and on Facebook has tried to explain why the display was allowed. He's experienced considerable blowback in response, though he says that as an ordained minister and "as a follower of Christ, I certainly find a display from the Satanic Temple objectionable." He says those who put up the display followed all the rules required to do so, adding that "the current operating principle has been to either allow all displays or none."

The Legislature can try to change those rules, he says, but "my observation as an Iowan and a State Representative, I don’t want the state evaluating and making determinations about religions. I am guided by the First Amendment of the US Constitution."

Fun story-got the announcement from my alumni association regarding 30th High School Reunion on September 21st of next year.  I had contacted them a few weeks back regarding having Nick Fuentes attend (he's obviously much younger but continued in the same radio timeslot as we had years ago) to do a "throwback" broadcast for WLTL.  So I pinged back and said something like "put me down as a yes, lemme know if I can help with anything like auction for teacher funds or bringing back Nick Fuentes to expose him and shame him publicly."  I've never been a high school reunion because I don't care but it's really something when you find out Nick Fuentes had your old timeslot and used that broadcasting experience to raise an evil army to overthrow your government.  Kinda weird.

Anyway so the three-person reunion/alumni committee writes me back and two of then thank me for the offer to help and well-wishes of "looking forward to reconnecting, etc."  And then the third guy writes back and says, "If you keep mentioning Nick Fuentes, we'll have to prohibit you from attending."  And the fucked up thing is I can't tell it's because he just wants to skirt controversy (which I get) or he's pissed off that his political idol is a piece of shit who we should all be ashamed of having attended our school.

In any event, I'm gonna keep pinging Nick's team via Texans for Fuentes to get him to attend the reunion for a radio-show reunion (because he's not in our class, we'd have to come up with some other excuse so the anniversary of the FM station would be ideal since that's where he got his start).  And because he'll likely have his phone on record, a camera crew, and security detail...we wind up a few people with liquor and clips of Nick's hatred of Jews and Hispanics and let somebody beat the living shit out of him while we dance to our class song.
