See, when you understand that the party has little left but racist fearmongering, it all makes sense.

Or started a fake Twitter account.

The lack of dissent on the Schiff censure vote is another piece of circumstantial evidence that the GOP is, in totality, a criminal enterprise fighting for survival.

When the story emerged about the NRA funneling funds to the GOP emerged, it suggested a trickle of dirty money flowing to all GOPs whether they were cognizant of it being dirty or not. Now add nogudnics Parvas and Fruman (the Ukrainian pals), and the question of there being other conduits of foreign money flowing to the GOP has been answered: of course there are.

Now we just have to wonder how many conduits there are. And how much money. And where has it gone. The number of nefarious contributors at some point must become noticeable to any elected official paying reasonable attention to his campaign income. That makes the rank and file office holders complicit.

A lot of GOPs must have had an inkling of the process. Refer to the Paul Ryan "family" conversation where he and GOP leaders, after meeting with Ukraine ambassador, state out loud a belief that Trump and Rohrbacher are in the pay of Putin.  Those present laugh, but the man (McCarthy) who made the remark follows up with, "I swear." Ryan then insists on no leaks of this conversation.

The participants denied the conversation took place until presented a transcript which they declared was inaccurate. Then presented with the actual audio, they said it was all a joke. Ha ha ha.

Now we have a proven set of back channels to Ukrainian politicians. Recall the back channel Kushner got caught establishing with the Russians shortly after Trump was elected.(all an innocent mistake. Sorry!).

Recall the Erik Prince (head of Blackwater and Sec. of Education Devos' brother) Seychelles meeting where he meets with Russian money man and reports directly back to Steve Bannon shortly after Trump was elected. Busy days were had shortly after Trump was elected but after the famed Trump Tower meeting with Dotard Jr. and others.

Throw in the early days Oval Office meeting where Trump laughs it up with the Russian ambassador and reveals top secret information. Throw in Trump's meetings with Putin where the tradition of having an American present to take notes is abandoned. Throw in Flynn and Manafort. Throw in the cession of Syria and determination to end Russia sanctions.

I worry that this massive, ongoing conspiracy (forest) will get boiled down to the fucking phone call (tree), and the simple-minded electorate informed by the idiotically detail-focused TV news media will never see that forest because of all the trees.

Imagine Mueller watching all of this. It's plainly obvious, just from the aspect of election interference and obstruction of justice, that the White House is a criminal operation with slimy tentacles extending into honey pots all over the world. It's on paper. But it's tl;dr. "Huh?"

The GOP obstruction is the final piece of evidence that the organization is without principle, honor, or merit of any kind. Unanimous consensus that Schiff not Trump should be censured illuminates the depravity of those who once claimed themselves to be the "adults."

The Senate will only convict if the base turns on Trump. Even then, they have to worry about Trump blabbing. When they put in the fix of a quick pardon from Pence and make immediate declarations that this whole thing is over, they'll have to worry about Trump facing charges not covered by presidential pardon and what he might do.

I could see Trump turning state's evidence to rat out the whole GOP to stay out of jail. Of course, he'd have to hope he gets a different set of guards than Epstein had.

Maybe because I don't have the patience to follow this in the detail that others do (bless them, pariticularly Hugo, for providing so much information), these big, shining incidents seem to add up to a colossal historical moment where an entire political party should be brought down.

We are poised on the brink of a watershed historical moment. The US does the right thing and enforces the law to protect the republic, or the voices of reason and law are drowned out allowing the US to slide irretrievably into the slime of banana republicanism.

I make no prediction.

Sorry this is so long, but I wanted to hit key points.

I do.  You know what it is.  There is no contradictory evidence.  There is no way this ends in a "negotiated settlement."  The only way it ends is on the deck of the Missouri in Tokyo Bay.  Or the deck of the Nagato in San Francisco Bay.  Either way, somebody gets nuked and surrenders.  But we know how it's gonna end up.

Getting rid of every current elected Republican needs to be the next (or simueltaneous) goal.  Until they are all gone, there is literally nothing to work on together, and no one in their party to work with.  They have made that perfectly clear for the rest of us.

A group of House Republicans stormed into a secure room at the Capitol on Wednesday where the latest witness in the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry was set to testify, shutting down the proceedings.

The disruption delayed closed-door testimony from Laura Cooper, the Pentagon official who oversees Ukraine policy, whom lawmakers planned to ask about the White House’s decision to withhold military aid for several months over the summer.

This is the Intelligence committee, correct? There are republicans on the intelligence committee correct? Why didn't security arrest these fucks?

It's one thing when the moron president flouts the rule of law and everything decent, but when an entire wing of government does it and does it like petulant children, there should be no mercy.

The republican crime organization is at this point fighting to keep their own sorry butts out of jail. I’m actually surprised it took them this long for them  to start storming commitee hearings. Thugs don’t like investigations that might eventually implicate them in crimes. Just ask the leader of the thugs, the guy we for some reason are still calling the president.

The Republican crime organization above all needs the executive branch to remain in the hands of fellow Republican criminals.  After all that’s what is keeping a lot of them out of prison. Right now they figure trump, as an incumbent, is still their best bet to keep the executive branch “in the family” so to speak.

Well, to be fair, when a good looking white girl is in play, a lot of other thought goes by the wayside.

It ain't whether the meter goes off.

It's whether you're willing to ignore the alarm bells.

GOP...the party of evil, corrupt, spineless white motherfuckers. Those are the exact words that come to mind when I see them spewing their bullshit on the news shows.
