I said it upthread but Sark is scheming open receivers like every other good OC.  Guys are open.  Arch doesn’t see them then has no time to move to the next read.  But he shouldn’t have to.  Receivers are open over and over in immediate windows Arch keeps missing it.

Sark didn’t just now forget how to call offense.  He could be doing better and doesn’t get a pass. But this is too fast for Arch.

The main thing I fault Sark with is poor OL.

That and a shit QB make it awfully hard to develop a game plan and call plays.

I've already suggested Arch should portal to find a decent OC.

I'm not saying Arch doesn't have issues, I hold our coaching staff responsible for not having a clue on how to develop QBs. We all watched Ewers regress during his time at Texas.

Arch has gotten worse since last year.

I hold our OC and HC responsible.

If Sark isn't accountable for Arch being bad and getting worse, who is?

A new OC isn’t saving THIS version of arch. You can say it’s all on coaching but this shit is mental.  His processing is on HIM. A coach can help with mechanics. But not with his late reads and how he sees the defense.

Of course the coach helps by schemes and he could be better. But you seem to think a change of coach would make arch better and I just don’t see it.

This defense is excellent. It feels like 1991 to me. Top 3 defense with a bottom 5 offense.

That Cotton Bowl game against Miami might be the worse Texas loss ever considering what was on the line.

Can’t do that but have you heard of human centipede?

We’ve played 4 good defenses and scored 7, 21, 16, and 13 offensive points in regulation.  We just fucking suck on offense.  QB is inaccurate, OL is physically weak and slow footed, and the OC is full of hubris.   It’s not going to improve.  Any team with a good defense and its  is going to be a beating to watch us play against.

I hate to tell you, but Kentucky is a bad defense

Arch has not played well at all, but he doesn't make Moore run out of bounds to keep Texas from running the clock down and kicking the winning field goal. He also didn't hold on the first play after stopping UK on downs on their possession in overtime. That kind of stupidity just makes me lose brain cells.

Meanwhile Texas fans are literally replaying last year.

Ewers sucks! Put in Arch!

Arch sucks! Put in Caldwell!

Caldwell won't start next year but if he did, with a full offseason and "coaching" from Sark, guess who would suck then.

Quinn wasn’t this bad. He could get the ball out usually making the right read and hitting guys who were open with 5-15 yards.

If there was any question as to which was the dumbest of the Stoopes' brothers, that question has been definitively answered tonight.

Remember when Sarkisian tried to hire the other one for our staff?

I think the central problem there was the OL.  It was never championship level, never really blocked a good run game, and never let Ewers feel completely comfortable.

And Ewers regressed each year he was here. Our run game sucked. Our game plan didn't align to the talent. Our game plan didn't take what thr defense gave.

We've been subjected to such shitty offensive coaching for so fucking long we can no longer see it for what it is.

How long you ask?

2005 was the last time we had a truly dominating offense. 20 fucking years.

We squandered maybe the best defense we've ever had last year with multiple NFL offensive players.

We agree on who is to blame, just not the length/depth of blame.

Exactly.

I mean they were in the Semifinals with the ball inside the 10 yard line against the eventual national champs. Sure you can say “squandered” but they just got beat by a better team honestly.

Stop giving the players a pass when they’re not performing either.

you keep putting all the blame on sark when the fucking QB can’t hit a simple 5 yard route at a higher than 60% clip. If that.

no one is saying the Coach is blameless. But only a blind moron would think the QB isn’t fucking horrible at hitting open WRs.

well bench him unless he is forking over a share of his nil for every game he starts. a low performer drags everyone in the team down, but the qb position is so pivotal

That’s basically what sark just said in the postgame.
called out both of those plays without throwing either player completely under the bus.

hate to be Moore and Goosby on Monday

Last year, the scapegoat was Quinn. This year, it's Arch. Guess what, Caldwell is not going to save this offense. There are fundamental issues with this offense that makes star QBs play like shit. The next backup is not the answer.

It don't make a shit cause the same dumb mother fucker is calling the game plan and the same shitty OL will let him get pressured every fucnimg play and we still won't be able to rush for more than 50 against shitty teams like Florida and Kentucky.

Thank goodnesss sark at least didn’t say

“trap game… sec night road game.. after emotional rivalry win…”

Maybe he’s saving that for Monday presser

Running a “conundrum offense” is not what I expected this season.

The players on our offense are ass. All of them.

The coaches on our offense have helped them be such ass.

I'm not giving them a pass.

They suck because our coaches suck. Who recruited them? Who evaluated them? Who made them starters? Who called the game plan?

See you keep saying the same thing.

“They such because the coaches suck” when that’s not so easy to prove.

I think arch has issues and no OC or Coach is making him better. It’s in his head.

This OL sucks. Maybe because they recruited poorly. Who’s to say a coach would make a difference?  We don’t know.

sark has been bad this year. Even last year at times.  Arch has been mostly bad this year.  The OL too.

It’s okay to say they’re all bad and not Blake coaching for everything.

Ive got a brush Wacker, weed eater and a hedge trimmer. I have to take down a LOT of wild roses on my land.

Texas is playing with a hair brush, a pair of child safe scissors, and some crayons with a regarded child calling shots against the massive rose bushes.

It's almost cruel.

Still trying to figure out what Sark has seen out of Arch and the o line this season that his game plan was to come out in the first half and call nothing but passes.

My take on what I am seeing.  After watching the last two years in the playoffs with plenty of talent but with holes, I think we had good enough teams to win it all but lacked quality coaching like we have seen at other schools.  This year is a mess and the most accountable is Sark.  I really do not think Sark is the answer for UT but considering the UT mode of accepting reality and making change it isn’t going to happen quick and probably shouldn’t.  BUT…I guarantee Sark will never be the Texas football coach in 2031 as contracted. No way.  Just my opinion after watching this fiasco tonight.

Hey guess what?  The scrappy but winless in conference home dog came up empty on their OT possession, and the moderately ranked road team with one conference loss fucked around with theirs before kicking a fg to win.

just kidding Mizzou missed so they play on.

I already know how the Arkansas game will play out.  It will be the same as every game they play.  They will score some points, cover the spread and lose a one score game.

He calls the same game plan regardless of who is playing in it and regardless of their skill set. More importantly, he does it regardless of what the defense is doing.

Its horrible at every level.

Ugly ass win. However, Kentucky fans are really friendly and humble in a loss. They all want Stoops fired. To a lot of their season ticket holders that was the last straw.

Because Arch misses or won’t throw to any of the immediate reads that Sark schemes for him.  Then he’s running for his life. It’s a team effort of futility.

Agreed that Manning probably bears half the blame. Arch hit a couple of 20 yarders, but he missed a bunch of others across the spectrum. He needs to sit the fuck out next week. He needs to see his replacement go thru the motions. He needs to stay engaged and figure it all out, but not as a starter. He doesn't have the skills.

We cannot let a worthy QB sit on the bench while our Defense plays its heart out hoping to get into the playoffs just so that an overhyped pretty boy can log time. If Sark fucks this up for those boys, he should be fired. He's got a problem. He's not keeping up. He's not getting it done.

how do we know he is getting worse?  the 2 games against shit teams last year?   He was bad starting this year(even when we ran the ball well at tOSU) but then good against OU(does Sark get credit for that?) then shit again.

maybe it is a combination of Arch not being able to truly consistently compete at this level, bad OL, Sark being a dumbass, and Flood being what is basically a doorstop.

I will say it is up to Sark to fix it one way or the other.  It is all his problem.  Also, I'd like to say that the players get paid a lot of money now so the criticism of players is fair game now.

What about defensive leaders celebrating a fumble recovery that was still loose on the ground a few feet from them
