I don't know what movie that its but given the main actor, set design and costume I'm confident it's both a bizarre movie and comedy. Likely dark comedy, which makes me upset I haven't seen it.

Getting back on topic, I don't know who Jim Davis is, but here is Kim Davis. She seems like a really unhappy and unhealthy woman from Kentucky who really takes issue with gays deciding to throw their own freedom away and get married. She was really just looking out for them as single life rules!

Title says it all.

Davis is the first president at UT Austin in over 100 years to come from a non-academic path.

This is the most damning fact.  The second most damning fact is a stint in the Texas AG office.  Or maybe that's reversed. Otherwise, he's got pretty good UT bona fides.

It appears that he's just smart enough, or has enough love for the University, to know that the sucking up has to be kept on the QT, at least for a while.  You know damn right the pressure from Abbott and the BOR to bend the knee was withering.

I would like to believe that he’s not a coward and will stand up to Abbott and the BOR, but he was obviously picked to be a yes, man.

We've been waiting for 10 years for someone to speak up/stand up to the GOP but here we are.
