Nice throw Midteer

He seems like a good kid. Of course it makes him easier to like when he's missing open receivers.

This week he's just overthrowing every receiver instead of throwing it to the defense.

Yep, Mateer is not the same after his surgery.

He's exactly the same....YOLO throws and sketchy accuracy at times, coupled with hard tough running, and "gamerness"

He's thrown the last five passes over there - none were close to being caught

Well, it seems open a lot of the time.  Mateer just can't hit the target.

WR bust with one minute left and Mateer blasts it ten yards above his head.

How do you not call that hold there?

No shit. That was blatant.

I was wrong when I called him average and overrated a couple of weeks ago. He's not average.

Actually I should clarify here. I mean he's not average for elite level teams. He's definitely FBS average.

This rule sucks, because a QB can fake a throw and still keep possession of the ball. If the QB still has clear possession of the ball and the ball gets knocked out of his hand it should be a fumble.

His arm was going forward (a bit) but the ball was knocked out of his hand backwards.  It didn't leave his hand before it started to go backward...that seems like a backward lateral but what the fuck do I know.

I agree if the ball does not go forward. That's the real problem on this play. He has the ball and the ball goes backward.
