They're found to give it back to ou, but that was a fumble.

Apparently I don't know what a fumble is.

I guess OU gets to keep trying throws until they score or there's no time on the clock.

Maybe he finally won't throw it over a receivers head.

This rule sucks, because a QB can fake a throw and still keep possession of the ball. If the QB still has clear possession of the ball and the ball gets knocked out of his hand it should be a fumble.

Totally agree. The forward movement there was minuscule too. His muscles flexed to do it but it was literally nipped in the bud.

I agree if the ball does not go forward. That's the real problem on this play. He has the ball and the ball goes backward.

I get what you are saying and I can agree to that.

His arm was going forward (a bit) but the ball was knocked out of his hand backwards.  It didn't leave his hand before it started to go backward...that seems like a backward lateral but what the fuck do I know.

The problem is I think the rule is written so that in a passing position as soon as the ball is going forward in the hand it is considered already the beginning of a forward pass. As noted above, that wording doesn't make sense in reality because QBs can pump fake.

The tuck rule is a very old example of the problem with the rule and it still hasn't been changed. Refs got this one right and they're not the ones responsible for writing the rules.

Of course the stupid fucking announcers would play prevent. To prevent you from winning

The ball should have to be released and going forward. As like someone else said, it’s bullshit you can get bailed out on a pump fake.

6 and 2 doesn't properly describe the fuck-i-tude that is OU.

FUCK YOU SOONERS, FUCK YOU!

Can Mateer even throw it that far?

His receivers didn't think so.  There was no one in the 405 area code waiting for that.

Ole Miss wins but thought that was a Mateer fumble.

I was wrong when I called him average and overrated a couple of weeks ago. He's not average.

Funny that Sooner media was propagandizing him as Baker Mayfield but better/more athletic.

Yeah, there were like 6 Ole Miss defenders where the ball ended up and not a single player in crimson.

More like John Mid-tier, amirite?

Was Mateer shaving points or just that shitty?  That guy was mentioned in the same sentence as the Heisman?

Yes. Yes he does. Evan more so than Mike Leach. Yes, I said it, he's better than Leach at trolling.

Ha Lane giving shit back to the OU player chirping

I saw it but I had the sound off.  What did they say?

The hand injury has to be affecting him.  Like Ewers and his ribs.

Leach was more fun to watch since he threw it 60 times a game. Lane is running the same offense as everyone else.

He said something to the effect that player or his teammates said he couldn't score on them and they were laughing.

Correct, but it's his Twitter troll game that sets him apart.

Glad blowu lost. They’re fucking cheaters who didn’t get called for multiple holds yet again. And the boot licking announcers were nauseating.

Lane Kiffin pretty calm out there after the game...seems like he knows this could be the Last Dance and he's taking it in. Gone to Florida

Pending results from Starkville.

Nah. I was actually worried for awhile, but did the math. I don’t see him leaving anytime soon.

Kiffin is such a douche but I can’t quite hate him and kinda like him sometimes. Definitely like him today lol. Fuck ou.
