People seem to forget this crucial point...the book is out on the Texas offense, blitz and stop the run on the way there. For some reason they stopped in the 4th... Now it could have something to do with the spread offense Texas started to run, and if so, they need to do that more. Probably will help the run game too.

They did still blitz quite a bit in the 4th. They just didn't force as many 3rd and longs, so actually just not as effective.

October 27Oct 27 I forgot that we blocked a FG and they did a defensive chop block against our FG unit which ultimately yielded a TD. I know everyone was mentioning the missed FG, but those are two other easy points missed that went our way.
October 27Oct 27 Barstool aggressively trolling their employee and MS State super fan Brandon Walker has been pretty great today. Their IG account is worth a visit.
October 27Oct 27 Honestly, I wasn't sure what Hero Kanu would bring to the table, but he's a fucking hoss. Dude loves him some contact.

Not a single young player has gotten better. Why do you think this is? I've thought the same this year (maybe January and Jelani have improved?). But the last couple years have seen guys with tons of improvement.

When the QB takes his set, literally every single receiver has a first down by simply running three steps to the line to gain and waiting for a pass. PK has been great overall and I understand his overall defensive philosophy. But sometimes game situations should dictate changing things up. This call demonstrated zero game awareness. The 8 yards is one thing, but to compound it they are bailing at the snap.

Go to the fans section, under multimedia click audio streaming, click for the mobile player, click on play past events, and then start walking the dog or mowing the grass while reliving past glories. It's pretty awesome, actually. They used to have old epic games on there too, like 1990 Houston or whatever, but I don't see those anymore. I have been listening to the 4th quarter and overtime radio call with Craig as I've been running errands and working out. It's great. The mobile player sucks but it's still cool to have all of those games to listen to. Edited October 29Oct 29 by honolulu horn

November 6Nov 6 also, how can cowbells be your thing? “ooh our stadium is so loud!!”. yeah, because you’ve got 60,000 people clanging loud as bells non stop. that’s not a great atmosphere, it’s a gimmick, and an ENT’s wet dream. Edited November 6Nov 6 by Derka

Kansas was going to beat Texas. Stadium was probably just over half full through three quarters and fans literally started coming in to see Kansas win in the 4th quarter. Jayhawk fans essentially surrounded the Texas contingent and got closer and closer to us. They were jingling keys and talking shit… and then Vince Young happened. 4th and 17, and Vince left Nick Reid’s broken ankles along the Texas sideline. Their souls were crushed. You know what that was about? The BCS! That game began a slide for Kansas that they still haven’t recovered from. Like Brandon Walker did.

I didn’t look back at the exact teams after the 2004 game because Kansas is irrelevant in football. But yeah, they had one more decent season post-VY. We dismantled them in 2005.
