#20 Texas stages a furious fourth quarter comeback and beats Mississippi State in overtime, to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the SEC.  Coach Sark should have plenty to talk about today, including his own future with the program and Arch Manning's status this week.

This presser has me nervous. Lots of landmines to dodge or to address.

Maybe the person who handles the mic has his agent seeking NFL options?

Update on Arch besides concussion protocol? Any detail?

Nope - “will know more as week goes on”

My understanding is we will learn more on Wednesday with the team report coming out. And whether he’s been cleared by medical staff. Or not.

Sark seems a little nervous. Also, they’re throwing him easy questions.

Pray the sec doesn’t alter it further

No, he doesn't seem nervous at all. And they always throw him easy questions. The Austin media isn't antagonistic with him.

Our press corp needs to wear pink pussy hats. With everything that has gone on the offseason and in particular this past weekend and they are all “did you wear your lucky socks for the Mississippi State game?”

very easy.

he seemed to acknowledge that changing to the spread opened up offense in the 4th, but then goes back to talking about need to to play their style of football.  ugh

With KJ taking 2nd team reps, where's Trey Owens heading next season?

Yeah, it will suck if he comes out running 12 personnel when it’s obvious what we need to do

very easy.

It’s why the NFL isn’t beating down his door right now for a HC job  if that’s where he truly wants to go. They KNOW this.

he isn't talking like someone about to leave. constantly bringing up plans for "years in the future"

but he is also bringing it up so much it's suspicious

he might be overcompensating.  lolol

That’s a peculiar comment. Basically indirectly downing the profession of coaching.

I always chuckle when people get on here expecting something that these press conferences will never give you.

He started out laughing and happy.  Not nervous at all.

I think he probably put out feelers to see if there's any interest in him in the NFL because that's the highest level of his chosen profession and then the story done got blowed up.

I think he's perfectly happy being the head coach at Texas.

People here act like he owes them a 1-on-1 interview or something to only answer their questions

I enjoy the message board geniuses who think they know more about football than he does.

Yeah these pressers are basically a useless waste of time.  I'd rather him spend the time preparing a better offense.  Or at least sucking slightly less.

With the offensive line being as terrible as they are, you would think that someone some where can get an answer as to what the fuck is going on with Neto?

He already answered that question.  We're going back to what we do instead of doing the stuff that is working.  #Identity.

Regardless of when he’s cleared, we won’t know until kickoff if he’s playing or not. They’ll list him as doubtful on Wednesday, and then questionable on Friday. That’s obviously the right move to keep Vandy guessing, but it’ll be a long frustrating week for us.

I mean, it's his prerogative. It's the way that he wanna live.

Fascinating that they didn't consider doing this a long time ago.

I'm still bewildered that Milwee has been on the sidelines. Has it been that way for Sark's entire tenure? I had no idea. I thought Milwee has always been in the coaches box. I can't recall  the TV cameras ever finding Milwee. He's the fucking QB coach and I can't recall a single time I've ever seen him on the sideline talking to a QB. I am repeating myself but the camera caught Bimonte appearing to actually be coaching Arch at least twice. An actual conversation and I think Arch was even holding a tablet.

You can laugh and be nervous at the same time. He was very fidgety like he was coming down from a bender.

Seriously.

People hand waved at some of us bitching that you never saw a coach w/ Arch or Quinn on the sidelines, and then this week we see Bimonte all over the TV broadcast!

I reviewed the guy's background, and it's clear there's a dominance of Flood and Sark disciples on the offense side, with no diverse voices. Sark needs someone in the box who shares a similar philosophy but brings real-world experience and a fresh perspective, rather than just an "expanded" view from the main two guys' students.

Can we funnel some Burnt Ends money to have all TEs except for one fake an illness on Saturday? Can't run a two TE set with only one TE...

He seemed exactly the same as he has ever single press conference I've watched and I've missed very few of these. You guys need to stop trying to see something that isn't there that you apparently desperately want to be the case.

If this is such “a useless waste of time”….why are you tuned in?  Curious.
