Almost worked and should have been PI. The last offensive drive was meh but killing clock made sense. Defense shit the bed today.
November 1Nov 1 11 minutes ago, MuellerHorn said: The 4th quarter was just terrible coaching all around. Bad strategy by both Sark and PK. The injuries to our safeties didn’t help, either. The offensive calls were fine. You're up 24. You dont want to be slinging it around. The defensive execution was atrocious. The refs were pure shit. How do they miss that pass interference in the end zone? The bitch is right on top of the play and there's only 2 players out in space to watch. That gets called and it's game over, double digit win.
November 1Nov 1 My concerns coming into this game are the same others had with good reason. Is Arch going to play? Is that a good idea if he does? If he does will everyone regret it playing him too soon? I never had any concerns regarding the D giving us a win if we got a double digit lead. Oppo day for the concerns I started the game with. Damn. A w is a w though. Need to get healthy again now. Good job by the offense today. Especially the O-line. Offense looked like I envisioned it could be this year.
November 1Nov 1 He had two handfuls of jersey and it was clear as day in real time that it was interference.

I bet he cried for a week.
November 1Nov 1 #9, #10, and either #14 or #18 teams lose. If we had any semblance of a killer instinct our win would have been about a 14 point victory over #9, and we would most likely be ranked about #12-14 come tomorrow night. Instead we eke out a 3 point victory and end up about #17 at the highest, imo. This team is only going to the playoffs one way, we win all three games remaining. The one really positive thing about this weekend is the players are going into the bye week and they will not be told how great they are for two weeks. Nobody is getting a big head in Austin this week. Also, Texas Tech-#13- is most likely going to lose also. This was the biggest wasted possibility in a long time.

The team is a reflection of their coach. This shit happens way too often for it to NOT be on Sark because it never gets fixed. This is nonsense, he did all the things he is supposed to do to win. Take the air out of ball and make them burn the clock. He is paid to win.
November 1Nov 1 Kudos to the offense for having an amazing three plus quarters of play. Coulda used that FG. Coulda used one little bitty extra first down too. But they were strong right out of the chute. Manning looked outstanding. CAn't believe it. Keep it going Arch - and improve your game every week for the rest of the year!

I think it was @Park Gothic who had a great post a few weeks back about the possibility of a leadership void on this team. I think we also have a smaller number of guys who are leaders or just dogs who lead by example. I don't think it's non-existent but it could sure as hell stand to improve. I'm hoping Baxter and some others will step up because there's clearly plenty of talent. Unfortunately, though Whittington, Barron, Roschon, Mukuba, Bijan, Bolden, etc. aren't walking through the locker door these days. Edited November 1Nov 1 by campcrunk

Yeah, I mean, there were three minutes left. Somehow, without going OOB, only about 30 seconds ran off the clock (Suspect some official fuckery there too). The runs were working. I guess you can fault the end zone pass on third down, but the outcome was damn close to excellent and should have been a first down inside the 30 at any rate.

And Im glad we still won even though the 3 freshman dbs took some licks I mean, yes they are young and inexperienced, but goodness, find someone to cover, instead of real estate. Is it not common sense? Pavia just set a career record for single game passing yards against us. I know they were behind and had to throw a lot, but that’s an awful performance from the secondary. Let's hope he comes back soon. Moseley stepped up nicely with 7/69/1 Surprised Jagger only had 2 rec. It felt like more.

Because there where the front of the pylon was, and the ball didn’t touch it nor was it apparent the the ball had moved backward before crossing in front of it. SEC crews are too dumb to understand the concept of momentum. The ballcarrier was never closer to the pylon than the instant his body (and arm) exited the field of play. If the ball made no contact with the pylon at that moment, it cannot possibly have crossed the plane at any time before (and the jackass line judge prematurely raised his hands way before the ballcarrier had been pushed out of bounds, which means his POV wasn't flush with the plane, either).

November 1Nov 1 This team just needs to go spread. Manning doesn’t have the protection to be under center and without a dominant run game the play actions aren’t there. With the gun he is looking up field faster and the rhythm is better. The defense playing against the spread and gun during practice will help their play against the pass. The d always goes prevent too soon for any fans liking.
