So are we so that’s not the decider but that would be my argument. Resume wise? Yeah- they don’t belong. you didnt once say why ND should be in outside of watching football lol. BYU has a more compelling case than ND. Better SOS, better SOR and 1 loss being a conference championship.

Nobody cares about how the game went, just the final score. It's not fair, but that's football If PK/the defense stopped the fourth down, we would've had the ball with a chance to go up. Or if Collin didn't jump offsides on a 4th and 5. Sark only got ROCKED because all of Kirby's gambles worked out. If the receiver dropped the ball on 4th and 1, Kirby would've looked like a clown going for it from his own 36, up by 4. Or if the onside kick took a sideways bounce out of bounds. December 7Dec 7 I’m actually glad we are getting left out. Underperforming and squeaking by first round opponent with poor line play, a bad offensive game plan, and special team fuckery followed by losing a clearly winnable game in the second round or semis is not what I want to see. Sark does some soul searching in the offseason and makes some meaningful changes to staff and process

Yeah, but Texas didn't beat Florida and shows a propensity to shit their pants and collapse in one phase of football for legitimately 11 out of their 12 games.
December 7Dec 7 We’re not even in the discussion with the committee anymore. Probably never were even last week. It’s all on bama, ND and Miami. I assume whoever doesn’t make it will be who we play on our Kleenex tissue bowl. Actually that is who should host the two teams that didn’t make it. Kleenex.
December 7Dec 7 ?? Texas was left out "for not playing in the ccg game" only to have Alabama qualify for postseason without playing in the ccg later. Moving target. Of course, ND has never played in a ccg either. Nobody should expect fairness in sport or these subjective selections but Texas is too often on the losing end of the equation while favored schools keep finishing on top. They literally announced a higher emphasis this year on schedule strength and then didn't follow through https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/college-football-playoffs-schedule-strength/0f63f37a4766d5fc44a89216 Quote The College Football Playoff selection committee will put greater emphasis on strength of schedule in determining the field for the upcoming season Edited December 7Dec 7 by pacman

Lotta dropped balls that game too, and a heap of crappy coaching and piss poor discipline. Yes we had a shot to win it. Kirby made fuckin sure that we only had once chance, and we quite literally dropped the ball

December 7Dec 7 Yeah, but Texas didn't beat Florida and shows a propensity to shit their pants and collapse in one phase of football for legitimately 11 out of their 12 games. Maybe I missed it but why does nobody talk about Bama getting worked by a dog crap FSU team? That is a very bad loss that is the same standard we are being held to vs Florida.

December 7Dec 7 Three losses is why we’re being left out. That’s clear. Unfortunately, most rating systems do not favor us either due to poor performance in not just the Florida loss, but in multiple wins. And despite the ranked wins we ended up with, we just never had enough dominant stretches of football to overcome the three losses.

December 7Dec 7 Texas should absolutely schedule a Hawaii or Puerto Rico game against the next bubble team and not do a bowl game and just call it a wash on the fine from the revenue. Texas BYU or Texas Miami or Texas ND or Texas Alabama How fucking sick. It would have insane ratings.

December 7Dec 7 Penalties per game and when you think of the timing and absolutely brain dead behavior behind a handful of ours you realize we are never going to make the finals much less win it without some fundamental changes to the program. In the age of NIL we are never going to have the talent differential to overcome this glaring of an on field discipline problem

December 7Dec 7 Just get rid of conference championship games with power 4. They should do play-in instead. Top 9-16. If a group of 6 team is in the top 16, then they can choose to enter the play-in or their championship game.
