LSU ain't winning this game, that QB is terrible.

Same with Mateer. The problem will be that eventually Mateer will grit out a few drives and then LSU will quit. The LSU QB needs to make a few plays.

Sarkisian went on the SEC morning show today and doubled down on both Texas deserving to be in the playoffs and reconsidering the OOC schedule going forward. He basically said, with the SEC going to 9

They have 2 losses you our 3 too. The committee has shown so far that that’s more important.

Not necessarily. It can be argued that the way we played all season coupled with our 3 losses didn't give the committee enough reasons to rank us higher. The A&M win may have changed that. We will see.

Manning effect. They are praying on OU and Bama's downfall.

I mean I don't want us to actually do it but CDC needs to leak to ESPN that he will cancel our upcoming big OOC games if this year shows that is what's best for Texas. If he hasn't already.

If OU or Bama lose, that is all the opening he needs and the pressure campaign will be intense and commence quickly.

I don’t see the ACC Getting 2 teams in at the expense of Texas.

Tebow went hard for us earlier, the talking points have certainly been planted by the puppet masters.

Some of yall are focused on weird stuff. ACC is only getting 1 in.

There is going to be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the ACC and or big 12

BOMC rides again

Oregon’s resume is terrible too. Beat Penn St, who cratered. Lost by 10 to Indiana. Beat USC. Not exactly impressing vs Washington. Non-conference was a joke.

Big 12 - 1 bid

Acc - 1 bid

G5 - 1 bid

Big 20 - 3 bids

Sec - 6 bids.

That's 13 teams.

And after your edit. That leaves out ND.

Both leagues. We (Texas fans) have a bleeding vagina and just general football knowledge problem.

unclear on who to root for in vandy/tenn.  I think Tenn since a 2 loss Vandy who is already ahead of us with Pavia heisman hype could be a problem.  but Vandy winning supports our resume even more.

Assuming SEC gets 5 in, which 5? I would think they would want TX in for the ratings?  For TX to get in, what team is going to get hosed by the refs today? ou(sucks) or Vanderbilt?

it is funny that regular season games still matter but what doesn't really matter anymore is conf champ games.

Yeah, that was in difficult. It is cleaner to Tenn to win. But, assuming the committee feels the same as the media generally that Vandy doesn't deserve a spot regardless, it probably helps our chances more for Vandy to win.

Bama and OU are the relevant teams. Not Vandy.

Well, they are going to matter for the Big 12 and ACC.

in theory, we should be 5th and OU should be behind us.  the SEC ranks us 5th.

It would be funny of the SEC was the first conference to embrace a new paradigm and get rid of the CCG to avoid the bad loss.  Top two SEC teams are getting in without an extra data point.

any team that has the balls to sign true road games, and not some "sponsored classic" game in Las Vegas, Arlington or Atlanta, should be rewarded handsomely. NCAA/Networks get paid by rating$ during the game and whoever the loser is doesnt get penalized too bad and put behind a team who instead scheduled Austin Peay at the end of the season.

should be an absolute factor when deciding about teams.

I get wanting national and conference diversity in the playoff bids but schedule parity is a fucking joke.  It’s a major fucking problem.

none of us know what’s going to happen. So many stated values of the committee are as odds with each other in those last few slots.

It's the single biggest problem in college football. There's like this "poor little retard" class of teams where because they are historically bad and have never accomplished anything in their history. College football way over inflates what they accomplish to pump a Cinderella narrative.

Indiana has essentially accomplished nothing other than beating one ranked team on the road by 10. And are being gifted #2 for it.

I don't think LSU is going to help our cause. They have no offense. It will come down to Auburn taking care of business at home.

I don't think FCS games should count as data points towards the postseason at all. For example, Indiana should be viewed as a 10-0 team rather than 12-0. The FCS beatings over inflate stats, efficiencies, unit ranks, etc.

I doubt jumping Vandy will be an issue even if they win, but fuck no. Root for Tenn.

in indianas defense, theyre smoking teams like they should. outside of the Penn state finish  Winning in eugene is no easy task either

Probably. Boise st being a “3” seed and smu making the field was a joke just like this year. 2 wasted spots for teams that wouldn’t even be in top half of the big boy conferences. If they went to a 32 team bracket and cut back the season to 11 games and eliminate the ccg it would solve a shit ton. Push those mid majors into their own bracket or form their own conference and get them out of these CFP brackets where they make it and get curb stomped in round 1.

This garbage OU team is going to be in the playoffs and people are still saying Texas doesn't deserve to get in.

I want us to cancel the game immediately if are not in the playoffs. If the game is manage the win loss column, we need to play the game. Fuck what anyone thinks.

theres only about 3 FCS teams that would be qualified as decent wins, NDSU and the 2 Montana schools. Not many FBS schools will schedule NDSU anymore tho

Nope. OU looks like garbage too but they at least have a competent QB (who looks awful today) that is probably good for 2 touchdowns later. I can’t see LSU scoring much more if at all. Their QB and playcalling are pitiful.

I agree, but even Charlie Strong 5-7 Texas teams put beatings on G5 cream puffs. It adds nothing to the game and makes it way too convoluted to properly assess competition. This is the equivalent of a 6A team scheduling 5A teams. It's not good for the sport. Cignetti knows this and nuked every P4 game they had scheduled for the next few years. It's manipulating the system.
