Waking up in NYC to the Mamdani win, the end of Cuomo's political career, and the Bergdorf holiday windows under construction all point to a great holiday season.

Prop Q getting crushed, 70-30 with 2% reporting. Most of that is Wilco, but I’ve seen enough. My guess is that it settles in around 65% against.

Pretty sure NJ is just EWR, Atlantic City, Princeton, and South Philadelphia.

Hoboken and Rutgers.

Only hesitation I have on calling it is of course the far outposts of the city limits are gonna vote against it. All the pain with minimal payoff for them

She's just happy he has a hobby that gets him out of the house.

What’s cool is that the small positives coming out of today’s results will cause 2 things:

1. Trump to claim election fraud and use it as an excuse to suppress the vote in blue counties next November.

2. Dems will claim the tide has turned and take their foot off the gas and fuck up in 2026.

The flickering ember inside of me is thinking that these No Kings rallies 2 weeks ago juiced turnout and there’s now some small momentum that just needs to be sustained for 12 months, and from there we can finally start to heal.

One thing is for sure, Democrats in congress should not cooperate with the Trump administration in ANY way.  The more pain his base and the unengaged feel, the swifter the tide will turn.

I thought his hobby was collecting cats.

Everyone is voting against it. I’ll be surprised if it wins more than a half dozen precincts

That is uncut pure copium.

People actually thought Cuomo was going to keep it close, much less win? Jesus, people are dumb.

Probably due to your endorsement.

They also thought Jake Cacciatore was going to take it.

Alright, here's my micro somewhat interesting local race

Wake Forest, NC - erstwhile small town (and once but no longer home to the university, who moved out in the 50s and left the campus to the Southeast Baptist Seminary) and now rapidly growing suburb of Raleigh. Mayor Vivian Jones has been mayor since 1999 when the town was probably 1/4 the size it is now. I'm not sure what her politics are exactly, but she's very old guard anti change and caused a bit of a kerfuffle when rescinded the town proclamation of Pride Month. There is an organization that promotes LGBTQ pride/safety/etc which is nice in what could easily be described as the Round Rock of Raleigh. Apparently, the seminary pressured Jones to rescind the proclamation, which she did, and managed to piss everyone off in the process.

Ben Clapsaddle is an ex military democrat who... I don't know that much, but he seems solid, he's the dem candidate.

Meanwhile in the board of commissioners, Pam Jones and Thomas Dement are running together, they have some outside money and a lot of signs that look well designed and don't try to tell the story that is made clear by their respective haircuts

Sliwinski (R) and Shackleford (D) are both incumbents, I'm not sure who Zavala is really but Haseeb Fatmi is a progressive.

Things are looking good for Clapsaddle and the two D commisioners right now, but very early.

Shit is looking good.  Only the beginning.  Midterms will be an absolute landslide for the Dems - although it would help to move Hakeem and Chuck aside sooner, rather than later.  Worthless fucks.

Snake Diddy in shambles. What an awful result for the Democrats!

There is no way NJ was going to be close.  That narrative was complete bullshit.

CNN is despondent that Trump's horses have done so poorly. Legacy media loves a horserace

Fucking shitass 4th estate. Why can't they just call Trump a fucking liar?

Also, sent in my absentee ballot for Mamdani yesterday. Felt good.
