November 11Nov 11 Ive been to Stanford and Rutgers to see the Horns. Both great trips outside of us losing to a shitty Cardinal team. Tailgating was great in Palo Alto, Texas Exes had an amphitheater for us...our traveling party rented a large bus with a keg for the drive down from SF. Rutgers was just OK, though i traveled with my boss who played in 80's for the Scarlet Knights, so he and his buddies were really a fun group. Saw the Horns vs tOSU in Natty year, enough has been said about that debacle . Went to the Dome vs Tulane, Miss St and a few Big12 road games. Plus several bowl game (Sugar vs UW and Va Tech), Rose vs Bama and couple Cotton Bowls. Id vote for Washington and Oregon...maybe NW at Soldier Field but dont like NFL venues overall for college. UVA could be cool. I wouldnt mind a Utah road trip as SLC is great.
November 11Nov 11 My vote is for the Colorado Buffaloes, or Colorado School of Mines, But only as the opening game every season. It would be cool, in more ways than one to make that trip every few years.
November 11Nov 11 My wife went to Lewis and Clark in Portland. Beautiful campus. I think we can add some additional bleachers and pack it to 4k.

November 11Nov 11 This has probably already been mentioned, but the RRR pretty much guarantees that we aren’t doing a Dublin or D.F. game, unless is counts as other team’s part of home/home. Or it’s a single occurrence. Actually, CDC gave a luncheon interview at my club a couple months ago and someone asked this very question. As far as home/homes, I think Maryland at FedEx was the most miserable I’ve ever been in my life. The lower half of the eastern seaboard is really miserable in September. So, I don’t want to play in that area at all. Mine would be: BC Northwestern @ wrigley Tulane @ superdome CU Washington Cal Wisconsin Hawaii Arizona St (which we have) UCLA Navy or Army, but in NYC And I would be happy to return trip to UTEP and not buy a ticket, but watch from the mountain top wearing jean shorts and sitting next to a chica willing to get her hands dirty Edited November 11Nov 11 by Gucci_Suit

I mean Notre Dame and Army played at Yankee Stadium last year, but that was also an ode to the Cat'lics in New York. Army ain't giving up that home date at Michie and Navy ain't going to NYC( East Rutherford) when FedEx Field is right there.) Full disclosure, neither of those matchups are gonna happen. I don’t really think they care about that anymore, but right now they play on campus until they figure out how to get a bigger stadium. I would imagine that at the moment they aren’t going to bring in teams with a large fan base that will turn a home game for them into the road fans buying up all the tickets and making it feel like an away game. They need money and are far more likely to take money games from big schools. I enjoy going to their games, but their stadium is a makeshift one and smaller than almost all of the big high school stadiums in Texas at the moment.

Since 2020 in non-conference games, (including next year) we have played, amongst other teams, UTEP, Texas State, Louisiana, Rice, Wyoming, Louisiana-Monroe, San Jose State, Sam Houston. Whoever the chowderhead was who said we could not schedule UNLV (which is comparable competition) in a one off game in Vegas to allow our fanbase to defile itself in every way possible is loony tunes. Bring on sin and debauchery!
November 12Nov 12 I've seen the Horns play at the following schools (outside of Texas): Stanford Colorado Penn State Syracuse Pitt Hawaii Notre Dame Virginia Missouri UCLA Rutgers Stanford North Carolina Ohio State Nebraska Kansas Wyoming Ole Miss BYU Cal USC Maryland Iowa St Arkansas Alabama Michigan Georgia (soon) I'll call CDC and ask him to schedule: Oregon Washington Wisconsin Utah LSU and Tennessee upcoming on SEC schedule. Will hit Florida next time (good year to miss). Edited November 12Nov 12 by TxEx84
