November 16, 20187 yr Primal Fear.... had never seen it. Really damn solid watch and can't help but shake my head at how quickly investigators woulda assumed sexual misconduct at first strike. Also, laura linney was hotter than train smoke, had never seen her in her early 30s prime.
November 16, 20187 yr Doc Hollywood. Such a great film by Michael Caton-Jones. It's on my 'gotta watch it if it's on' list. Casting was excellent and so was the script. Also, prime Julie Warner.
November 16, 20187 yr Loved Instant Family Tom Segura keeping his eyes closed during the thanksgiving prayer slayed the fuck outta me. Haha haha.

Ed Norton's debut and still one of the best things he's done.

November 17, 20187 yr Got a little tired of Netflix high school dramas, soaps, animated flicks and sci-fi, so I went with this. No regrets. Edited November 17, 20187 yr by Rimbo
November 23, 20187 yr Batteries not included. Had not seen it since it’s release when I was young. Not nearly as good as I remember. Seems cheap, not sure if actually is or just old.
November 23, 20187 yr No Country For Old MenI guess I’m dumb because that ending was definitely a wtf exactly was that moment. No clue. Best part of the whole movie was the convenience store exchange. Overall wasn’t bad at all. 6 mehs out of 10

November 25, 20187 yr American Assassin - Dylan O'Brien, Michael Keaton, Tim Riggins CIA team chasing after a terrorist nuke. Keaton is great as always and Riggins makes a pretty good bad guy. Iranian chick Shiva Negar is quite rude.
November 25, 20187 yr Just made the fam watch Die Hard (tis the season). I had recorded it off of CMT...fuckers botched how they cut it for commercials, and actually cut a couple of scenes, so I had to explain the missing story. Pissed me off.
November 25, 20187 yr I don't know why I keep watching these comic book movies but the latest Ant Man was the sloppiest laziest bit of money grab ive ever seen.

November 26, 20187 yr I think that's the fakest shit ever...you spent money on a movie and walked out 10 minutes in? I mean shit, if the movie was actually horrible, maybe? But that movie wasn't even near the worst Marvel Movie, much less so awful you had to walk out. Jesus some of you guys are so stuck up.

November 26, 20187 yr Just watched the unreleased Orson Welles movie on Netflix. Pretty good. The doc about making it was better, though.
November 30, 20187 yr So far this week: Paris, Texas - Harry Dean Stanton is great. The Favourite - Damn good. If you are a Yorgos Lanthimos fan, he didn't write it but he definitely put his stamp on it. This one probably gets a best picture nomination. Also: One Emma Stone boob.
December 3, 20187 yr Recently watched Anurag Kashyap's latest movie, Manmarziyaan. The plot isn't anything groundbreaking but it's well-made and well-acted. Like most Hindi movies it's longer than it needs to be but the dialogue, chemistry, and music are all very good.
December 3, 20187 yr Looking for recommendations.... seen all the “big” movies Is Tully any good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
December 4, 20187 yr The Silent Partner - 1978 noir written by Curtis Hanson of LA Confidential fame and starring Elliott Gould and Christopher Plummer with a brief appearance by John Candy. Gould plays a bank teller who swipes a bunch of cash out from under bank robber Plummer. Pretty solid.

December 4, 20187 yr Remember that one well, fish tank scene. Where/when did you see it? May have to watch again. I knew something was going to happen with the fish. It was this month's selection for the American Genre Film Archive Secret Screening at Alamo Drafthouse Dallas.
December 4, 20187 yr The Gauntlet Been a while since I'd watched it and forgot how good it was. The best performance Sondra Locke ever gave.
