Message to all faculty: your expertise is no longer trusted or valued at this so-called “university.”

Can that place just go back to being a reform school for angry farm boys that beats them into submission and then sends them off to war?

they're following the LSU model for furiously shitting themselves by allowing politics into the henhouse , thus ensuring that no coach with any chops whatsoever would dare take the job...only they're applying it to academics (replace "coach" with "professor").

well played by the dicklickers...well played indeed.

To be fair to you corn dogs, LSU is just letting the politicians in the athletics henhouse, at least so far.

Aggots are letting them in the classroom.

Yup, Jim Davis will be sucking Abbot's cock like his bonus depends on it, and it probably does.

Yes they put it in writing-- but this was the vibe I dealt with during my one year teaching at A&M before I lit out for Mexico like a scalded dog.

The campus is defined by anger and fear.

Sadly, this craziness is coming to every state university in Texas, thanks to Texas grad and Texas Tech chancellor who went on a years long jihad against DEI:

Because of his legislative successes against rights, “Creighton and others like him can now “ dictate what is prohibited in the classroom, control what is taught and create a campus environment that nurtures and supports only some students.”

Texas A&M professors have to get clearance from a dean if they want to talk about this game on Monday

Between this and prematurely signing Elko to a huge extension (because of course), I assume that I was about the only Aggie quietly rooting for the first half result to carry into the second.

I am really concerned about the future for Texas public universities. High quality faculty and professors don’t teach or do research at Texas or Texas A&M because they pay the best. They come because it’s where they want to be and live. State dipshits making it unappealing to most, if not all faculty, will create a very significant brain drain.

You live in a timeline where universities are banning the teaching of.....Plato.

In a parallel universe, where Idiocracy is real, they are laughing at US for being dumbasses.

Well, what you need to understand is that ethics is woke.

However, the aggy Department of Open Corruption and Fealty to Authoritarians may be the best in the nation.

The real reason they banned Plato:

He claims that democracy is a danger due to excessive freedom. He also argues that, in a system in which everyone has a right to rule, all sorts of selfish people who care nothing for the people but are only motivated by their own personal desires are able to attain power. He concludes that democracy risks bringing dictators, tyrants, and demagogues to power. He also claims that democracies have leaders without proper skills or morals and that it is quite unlikely that the best equipped to rule will come to power.[2]

Because he is being proven correct.
