If we schedule OSU we are setting ourselves uo for failure. And I LOVE those games. our goal is to get to the playoffs. If our only goal was the playoffs, we should have played it safe and stayed in the Big 12.

OU got them at home and beat them. we had to go to OSU in week one. In this playoff era it’s dumb to play it. and I’m a guy who loves those games. But it doesn’t help us make the playoffs. Only wins and losses matter. Not who we play. It’s obvious now

If yall don’t understand the issue I can’t help you. I want to play OSU and Michigan and OSU and whoever. But it is silly to play them in this era unless they expand the playoffs.

Tough conference. Is hard to go unscathed. So we’re chancing having 2 losses every year if not 3. Just now, David Dennison said: So win. Okay you’re being stupid. Just stop. you are not even arguing against me. Just saying a dumb comment.

To your point, the Conference games matter; but the non-con can make some supporting points. It's a GLARING weakness for my team. Edited November 16Nov 16 by Iceman

November 16Nov 16 Yeah, the UGA game is now a must-win. I don’t see OU losing either of their next two games.
November 16Nov 16 I only saw the last drive, but was the dipshit broadcast team really doing "Heisman moment" talk after Simpson had two turnovers?
November 16Nov 16 There is plenty to gain from those games. I’m quite certain scheduling and beating Alabama in their house got us in the playoffs a couple of years ago. Winning those games gives you a lot of cred to cover up later stumbles.

There’s far more risk than reward associated with it, especially when playing a team of Ohio State’s caliber when we don’t even have to schedule them.

How many times has Tech been part of the most important game on the schedule during a weekend? Why do you think that despite all the money they are throwing around, they can’t out recruit us?

Not during the regular season when you don’t have to? Other than conference games if course. Y’all are missing the point. Do we want to make the playoffs or not? Forget if you think we don’t deserve if we don’t beat those teams. Just do you what to get a chance to win a title or not? yall are mistaking me for not wanting to play those teams. No. I just want the best chance to make the playoffs. Indiana and Oregon and BYU and Utah will only have 1 loss this year. Maybe 2. And that’s mainly because they played no one out of conference. That’s my point.
November 16Nov 16 Well, that game was fuck ugly. Glad I stopped taking this game as seriously as I did years ago. Much better for my health, I guess wisdom does come with age. Oh and fuck OU and Auburn and Tennessee and LSU
November 16Nov 16 I'm glad I gave KDB an automatic two-year pass when he was hired. I have to admit OU beat us straight up on the field. Mateer is a gamer. I do believe the league needs to have weekly tutorials on the officials regarding what "unnecessary roughness" is. Three or four OU players curb stomped Lotzier Brooks after the whistle right in front of a couple of refs, leaving Brooks twitching in pain on his back. Neither one even reached for his flag. That Boucheron (Sp;?) ref and his crew are harbingers of doom if you draw them. In a related story, Ty SImpson is having a three-second alarm timer implanted in his medulla whateveritis. Jesus, boy, please learn how to get the ball out.
November 16Nov 16 I'm amazed at how many empty yards Simpson passed for last night. He had 326 yards and they only managed 21 points. Also, 80 yards rushing for Alabama is horrible. That guy better adjust his coaching staff, style, or whatever because they look nothing like Alabama of six years ago.
