Damn. That's a stone's throw from Times Square. Not what you'd consider a sketchy area.

I wanted to shoot him when he was tweeting at halftime, but I got over it.

Can hardly blame him in hindsight

Those of you in NYC keep an eye out for a blue BMW.

That narrows it down....

Somebody check up on Plaxico Burress for his whereabouts

Probably lots of cameras in Manhattan near Times Square. Plus it probably stems from an incident that occurred wherever Boyd was between midnight and 2am

Did the report say if the suspect purposedly shot the weapon or merely dropped it?

There’s a club right next to 38th and 7th that is known as a place for a young man to meet a young, working lady. It is not where you want to be at 2am.

Speak for yourself

I used to live right there where he got shot. Area is definitely sketchy after dark despite being right in midtown.

2 luxury cars speeding away sounds like a professional hit/set-up.

Prayers to him

Wonder if shots were from car?  Folks you got in a beef with earlier roll up, you walk over to continue the "conversation" and get got.

It's NYC brother. I am starting dinner about 10pm depending on the restaurant.

This is the garment district right? I mean, it's 5 minutes from Bryant Park which is a bougie area (safe) area. There isn't much sketchy in that area and I just had dinner 3 days ago on 37th and 6th about 5 minutes from where he was shot (Frankie & Johnnies) and it couldn't have been safer and cleaner (by NYC standards).

Every place is safe.  Until a guy who wants to shoot you shows up.

The athlete was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said. The bullet is lodged in Boyd’s lung, according to the law enforcement source.

A bullet to the lung has to be relatively good, you have 2 of them, right?

Go west toward 7th and 8th and it gets dodgy fast.

Sounds like they were talking shit to each other.

Fucking sucks man playing for the jets is a death sentence

Shot after an argument / fight at Sei Less. 38th and 7th isn’t that sketchy but when you are out at 2 am fighting you are in the wrong crowd. That place has had issues with robberies inside in the past.

Hope he fully recovers.

There's definitely a "Texas sketchy" and a "NE urban sketchy" and it takes some recalibration to know the difference.  When you're walking around Philly or NYC at first EVERYWHERE seems dangerous.  You have to acclimatize to the run down nature of the Northeast.

This seems pretty decent:

I mean....you corralled the biggest bunch of aggy hating assholes on the planet and put them all in a place to talk about UT football. I appreciate everything you do, but it's going to come up from time to time. You're all good in my book though.

Okay, thanks. Can you give us the name and address of the place so we will know to avoid it?

Lots of scam diamonds sellers there. They place a thin layer of a good diamond over a piece of crap and sell it as premium. People kinda suck.

You fuck one goat….
