Half-naked woman was allegedly tortured and chained in Austin backyard for months by five ‘friends’ who didn’t ‘like her anymore’

Yeah, that HEB puts the old (formerly scary) one on Congress to shame.

Festive at least. Although imagine what was handed out on Halloween.

Busy backyard.  Guessing they did okay during F1 given the proximity to COTA.  Hopefully there was full transparency with the the yard situation in the VRBO description. Guessing Saban would be a walk in the park vs. these folks.

Nice of them to notify the public that the premises was secured by a Daisy Powerline 880.

Her bottom half, according to the article. Also, the victim isn't pictured, so, why criticize her? She apparently is either elderly, or disabled, and throwing shade on either demographic, on account of physical appearance, is indicative of a shitty upbringing.

I'll come back here with my housemates and we'll see if you say that again.

Nah, man, Leslie was weird.

I was kayaking down Barton Creek. Leslie was paddling a shiny canoe upstream. He said "HEY MAN YOU WANT A BEER." I said "Yeah!" Then Leslie gave me a beer.

I'm not going to ask what Leslie was wearing.

The usual.

It’s the opposite of that, this house is right behind the H-E-B at William Cannon and I 35. A mobile home at the entrance of a neighborhood.

If only that HEB was open, then someone would've heard the screaming.

You can rely on me not to make disparaging comments about feeble or infirm housemates. Conversely, if y’all are incapable of that common courtesy, you’ll have to pay me to be civil. My SIL tells me that my compulsion to act as I do stems from control issues. But I think I’m on a mission to civilize.

So this house must be rural right? Like where the fuck is this house where no one ever heard any screaming or sounds that warrant investigating a bit?

Right across the street is where the great meat frenzied unloading of the HEB dumpster happened a few years ago, during Covid and after a brownout because of the ice/cold.  Made internationally news.

HEB was apparently not open this day.

Those are great little airguns, especially considering all the plastic and stamped (not even die cast) parts.

Back when I was a kid, I chose a Crosman 760 for my big boy pellet gun because it seemed more substantial.  While the 760 is a classic in its own right, I think the Daisy is a better gun.  I have the single-stroke 10m target version today and it's a tack driver.

that close to the bus stop??  i'm guessing she normally was inside?  if not, how did no one hear here

I lived in the neighborhood around Bedicheck - other side of Congress south of Wm Cannon. I remember one time I went to that HEB and pulled into that trailer park neighborhood on the way out to try and get flipped around. Never took that exit out of the HEB again, and really quickly abandoned that store altogether in favor of shitty HEB, Manslaughter, Brodie, and even Circle C. It is hard to imagine nobody calling the cops, but also I bet it takes a lot for people who live in that neighborhood to invite the police to come to that neighborhood.
