It always bugged me that Sonny Crockett was an All-American football player at Florida, and then became an undercover vice cop in Miami. Like if Colt McCoy had left school and became an undercover cop

Trust me, I know people.

To a fuckin' person they'll let you know it's a brand new day. This is minor league pro football.

All this emo shit is basically posters who don't understand the ground has massively shifted.

Let the ground settle, then start your bitching about something you have no idea is taking place.

IIRC a few pressers back Sark said he wasn’t concerned about our culture. Is this an unusual amount of players hitting the portal? The other day Sark was talking to the press about unreasonable “agents” (not easy to deal with types players have that have no agent experience.) Our Cheez-It win should be a pretty good recruiting tool for us. It’s not like we don’t have the money. If we make smart portal decisions (ahem look at Cig) we should be able to build a team around what we still have and Arch.

I don’t keep up with recruiting nor the portal but is the consensus here something is WRONG and that we are losing players bc of it? Or is the amount we are losing no different from any other team? Is it on the level of Bama or Aggy attribution when DeBoer and Elko were hired?

don’t know what to do with my very sweet Parker Livingston/stone jersey from someone I love dearly. Damn.

not trying to stir up shit…just don’t know what people make of this. I realize there are a lot of wait and see types but is this amount of players leaving normal for a coach entering his 6th season or is it abnormal? Confused.

This is the first time in this fully-enabled portal system that we haven't been in the CFP, so you're going to have to look at what happened with the close also-rans to see how much portal movement they had to get ANY idea of what's good, bad, or not.

The problem is, you might not be able to tell until we see our 2026 record and how far we go in that CFP, if we make the CFPM

Sure, they do, they are these huge pieces of paper given to golfers when they win a tournament.

Then they put it on their debit card.

There are over 1,000 players in the portal. We are fine. This is college football now.

At 8.8 ypc, I assume there are quite a few long runs available…

Nope. Every run is between 8.6 and 9.0 yards. He's very consistent.

You have people. Other people say he's leaving for money. Other people say he's leaving because he won't be the featured WR because of Cam Coleman. I'd say let's wait till more comes out before assuming there's rot in the program.

Remember rule #1, when someone says it's not about the money, it's definitely about the money.

Do you trade Wingo, Moore and Livingstone for Coleman (paired with Mosley/Lockett/McCutchen)?

YES, all day. Probably only have to come out of pocket about $1M with what you save on Wingo & Moore.

No

No one particularly important has transferred yet, and our overall number of transfers out is quite low so far, outside of stripping the RB room down to the studs because it sucked.

A couple of fan favorites asking for star player paychecks hitting the door is fine, if a little sad for the running jokes on the board.

Wild. That’s damn near an entire decent offense in the portal. Can’t wait to see who we bring in

I think it is healthy. There was too much comfort and complacency.

Word on the Tennessee side is he insisted on playing LT and wanted $2.5-$3M. Unless Goosby declares for the draft, I don’t think we get involved.

You and I have very different definitions of decent. But offensive, I would agree.

Former Auburn receiver Cam Coleman is scheduled to visit Texas today and tomorrow. Coleman also expected to visit Texas A&M and Alabama, according to sources. Coleman is considered the no. 1 overall player in the portal. #HookEm

Texas is getting Lefau??

Transferring from Texas to Texas might get him a new NIL deal, everything goes these days. 😃

Is Crockett’s “we” another team I don’t know about?

He said he wanted to be closer to home and BYU is a destination mentioned along with teams on the west coast.

He is from Hawaii.

Burton also says there will 10-13 portal players on official visits to Texas this weekend, but only a few names have leaked so far.

Besides Coleman there will also be Isaac Brown, the Louisville running back.

This guy seems like he wants to come to Texas. He is a big play back that averaged 8.8 yds. a carry and had 5 runs over 50 yards this season.

The other name mentioned was the huge DT from Arkansas Geffrard who goes 6' 5" and 380 lbs.

Burton also says Parker Livingstone is thought to be headed to Indiana.

Not a bad destination for him, he will get coached up there.

He will supposedly join former TCU quarterback Josh Hoover at Indiana; Cignetti gets another good quarterback in the portal.

Pretty good passing combination.

Pardon the poor grammar. BYU fans think Lefau is coming to BYU. There is a crystal ball out there that he is going to BYU. And I am a BYU fan first btw.
