It always bugged me that Sonny Crockett was an All-American football player at Florida, and then became an undercover vice cop in Miami. Like if Colt McCoy had left school and became an undercover cop

Cooper is the #1 running back recruit and a couple of years younger than Brown and Smothers. Much better fit. Clark was 4th string, had one good game and decided to hold us hostage. He can get fucked. You think guys like Wisner, Baxter, and Barnes actually made more money leaving? Loyalty is a two way street.

He was not the number one RB recruit, and not even to our staff. Number one was Savion Hitler, two was Ezavier Crowell (#1a for our staff, then I believe Cooper was 1b), and then after that you can say Cooper and whomever else. He's a great HS back, but so was Baxter. I believe ESPN is the only site that list him as the #1 RB recruit, and 247 has him as the number 10 RB recruit, On3 has him as the #15 RB, behind some very questionable guys that will fail; like Johnathan Hatton because Demarco Murray is fucking horrible, EJ Edwards, who's pretty good, but I doubt better than Cooper, same with Tradarian Ball. I don't know anything about Deshonne Redeaux or Brian Bonner. It's a mess on all of these sites.

Cooper was not a full time running back was the thing. He plays athlete for his team. Every defensive and offensive and special teams snap. He’ll be elite when he doesn’t have to play every snap in college. He’s a burner with some size. He’ll be great for us if he clears waivers every year.

No, it wasn't. It was an injury. Baxter was never the same. Tre was a player with fucking heart and really good at running outside zone. Baxter showed absolutely nothing last year. It sucks. I hope he gets some of his stuff back with another year from injury, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I was never really impressed with Baxter from the start and never understood why he started over Jonathan Brooks to start that 23 season.

Coach Prime's momentum halted as Colorado suffers devastating transfer portal loss

There were rumors flying at the end of a disappointing 3-9 season that Jordan Seaton would ultimately enter the Transfer Portal and play what will likely be his final season of college football somewhere else.

But after the first 10 days of the portal came and went, and with Colorado gaining serious momentum and landing impact player after impact player, it sure looked like Deion Sanders and the Buffs were going to be able to retain the projected first-round pick in 2027.

Instead, Seaton made the decision that a lot of people expected after the season. On Monday night, it was announced that the All-Big 12 offensive tackle would enter the Transfer Portal, instantly becoming arguably the biggest fish out there.

Jordan Seaton's departure leaves a massive void for Colorado

Seaton is as good a left tackle as there is in college football. He was the biggest recruiting win for the Buffaloes in the high school ranks of the Coach Prime era. He was a consensus 5-star and one of the top overall recruits in the 2024 class.

Seaton will undoubtedly command a ton of money in the Transfer Portal, but his departure feels less monetarily driven and more winning driven. With likely only one year left to play college football, Seaton likely wants to go somewhere that will pay him well and give him the best chance of winning at the highest-level.

As good a job as Sanders has done in the portal, it would still be a gamble for Seaton to come back to a Colorado team that could be much better next season, or could find themselves back near the bottom of the Big 12.

And Seaton won't be easily replaced.

Colorado has added three offensive linemen in the portal so far. Taj White (Rutgers), Jayven Richardson (Missouri), and Bo Hughly (Georgia) were added in the portal. One of them will step in and take over for Seaton, but even if they play at an all-conference level, they likely won't be able to replace him.

Crank up the printing presses we need an O-lineman or two or half a dozen.

"Think I will buy me a football team."

Maybe an offensive line.

It depends on how it goes down. It’s one think to ask for more money as your role increases but allegedly Clark agreed to an amount, then when we whiffed on Baugh and Brown tried to take advantage of the situation and ask for much more than he previously agreed to.

Well, first I'm skeptical of the sources that detail how this broke down. Allegedly they agreed to a deal and once Texas got Brown and Smothers they informed Clark he would not be top 2 in rotation and as such would be getting #3 RB money and carries.

See how that works.

We don't know exactly what occurred and unless its public stuff or shit bagging on Texas by going to OU/aggie it's going to be $9.95 hearsay. As far as I'm concerned, Clark knew he wasn't getting #1 RB carries or money. As such he decided to shop his value and opportunities. I don't have any issue with someone doing something similar in the real world if they are denied a promotion for whatever reason and I don't find fault with a young 20 something Texas football player doing the same. I think we will get spin frequently from the $9.95 that leans Texas direction and I don't fault them for that either.

Anyone else think he has pretty small arms for someone 315 pounds?

Not small arms, but short ones. He may be carrying too much weight. Once he slims down, that wingspan will show out.

don’t feign that nonsense about academics. a degree in Physical Culture & Sports isn’t exactly a golden ticket even from a school like UT,

I'll push back on this point. Once could say most of these kids would never get a degree from some of the schools, they get their degrees from. Also, statistically some of them may have never gotten a bachelor's degree and regardless of what the bachelor's degree is in it's still a 4-year degree that looks good on job resumes.

Media thinks we are spending 40m this year

I want to spend whatever Ohio State spent last year to get their title (adjusted for inflation).

We now have two people, respectively, listed at right tackle and center: Andre Cojoe coming off an ACL tear and RS Senior Connor Robertson.

It seems to have become annoying for people to continue bitching about the OL but it was the main issue from last season we needed to fix going into the portal and instead we have picked up a ton of skill positions and almost no one to block for them. Obviously you cannot not be excited about these pickups, but for the OL the outlook doesn't look too great. Multiple teams are lining up for their bread rations with the big guys this year and we have had dismal luck.

I know it’s old, but what is the plan other than hoping Seaton chooses us and Baker works at guard?

A few more Namey McNamersons from School Who We Remember A Few Good Offensive Linemen From will jump in the portal in the next few days and our fears of a nonexistent plan C will be allieves

You're ok for now, she is still on a high from getting Coleman.

If we don't get some O-linemen soon, then you're on your own.

Brunner goes to Indiana as expected.

Makes a play for Seaton kind of a priority.

Prime and momentum, I think not more like inertial the no movement type.
