Mosley and Livingstone are a wash. Not overly impressed with either.

Moore was not 100% and seldom-used until our offensive explosion in the SHSU game.

He averaged 3 catches for 44 yards on the year. He will be missed dearly.

That doofus almost cost us the Kentucky game by running out of bounds

People forget how horrid our offense was until Deandre Moore returned and started bailing Arch out on drives.

He catches nearly everything, plays very smooth, and keeps the chains moving. I don't give a shit what he's like off the football field. He was the glue guy when we needed it most this season.

Pretty sure Moore did have a concussion early in the season then missed the following game.  I'm too lazy to look up game threads but people were happy he was back when he made a tough catch to give Arch confidence despite the poor throw.  Hate that this forum craps on any player as soon as they leave and all of sudden the player is a diva and worthless. Just found an article about his return game.

Y'all turning on a very solid player for us simply because he's declaring for the draft is not a good look. We should want the best for him.

I always wonder what makes kids try to go pro a year too soon?  Who is in their ear telling them a pretty decent season in college, is what NFL scouts have a difficult time finding?  Did Moore make some clutch catches this year?  Yep sure did.  But Enough to make real bank in the NFL? Probably not, unfortunately.  Then I think about two things. 1) Moore is already getting a decent check at Texas. 2) A season with a more seasoned QB a nd another year of development might get top NFL money, (If you can ball out like an NFL player in college)

With NIL I understand less and less jumping a year too soon.  And truly wonder which Uncle, mom, brother, sister, cousin, girlfriend, mistress, wife, MIL, SIL, BIL thinks they can get some of your NFL money, who is advising you on jumping to the NFL?

Moore didn't come here to play no skool

That’s great, but it a contemporaneously written article about how his return lifted up the offense against Sam Houston State. He was healthy for the rest of the year, did the offense (specifically the wrs) keep that momentum going for the rest of the year, buoyed by his presence back in the room? No, no they did not. Truth is we would have dog walked Sam with or without him.

And to be clear, many in the fan base were crapping on him well before he left. He got plenty of crap for his late in the offseason renegotiation that was mainly based on his status as the only experienced returning WR and not on being any type of special talent. The season certainly showed that he’s not that.

Moore is definitely not day 1 pick but should go late on day 2 or early on day 3.

Moore if goes to NFL now is maybe late Day 3 or more likely UFA... He better wise up and find another college gig for 2026.

Btw I also previously heard the same 2025 NIL crap Moore pulled as mentioned above by @someguy

(Moore threatened to transfer near the end of the portal window last year and leveraged a pay bump)

I'm glad Texas didn't elect to have Moore return for 2026 -- really hope we find a much more explosive WR to replace him.

Solid is a good descriptor. Nobody should be losing sleep over this loss or building a shrine to his midness.

No one is turning on him. The opinions on Moore have been pretty consistent around here all season - by and large a disappointment considering how much he's earning.

I'm still convinced you're mistaking him for Mosley.

Why would I confuse a very reliable veteran player in Moore for a for a mid-level newcomer in Mosley?

If Arch was better to start the year and Moore was healthy his numbers would be fantastic.

So he’s not confused he just doesn’t know what he’s talking about

He’s the 4th best receiver on this team at best. Stop it

The Georgia game is hazy because it ended so terribly but I recall Moore catching a kickoff on the goal line and forgetting he isn’t niblett. Basically got tackled by the first guy he came in contact with and that drive started from the 10 down 3 possessions I believe. That’s not a aww shucks he was trying real hard moment, that’s a veteran being a moron in a huge moment. The days of being sentimental over average football players just because they wear burnt orange is over. Next man up, next better man up actually.

Probably because he’s our most explosive player on offense

The only reason I would be excited for Wingo to be gone is it would mean we broke the bank for an absolute baller WR1. OL and RB are much bigger needs so I don’t see it happening unless we’re getting truly crazy for Arch’s last season.

From mistaking one WR for another, very poorly interpreting who's play was best to blaming Arch for the failures of a WR, you've gone full circle on the idoit logic train in a single post. Fantastic work!

Dude.  Mosley was injured to start the season, then replaced Moore at the #2 spot starting with the OU game.  You are taking crazy pills.

@lazygringo I was looking for more practiced eyes. Should we pool our Lockett and Ffrench NIL, let them walk, and sign Ryan Williams as our WR2?

You mean as our WR1?

If Johntay Cook wasn’t such a jackass, I wouldn’t have to read the last two pages of nonsense and our season would probably go well into January.

Production per $ has to be involved now. If it was just lol free dude plays football, yeah keep Wingo. He gives up on plays too much and falls down when someone looks at him wrong in open space. That isn't "top 10 WR in the country money" worthy. He's not even top 5 in the SEC from a pure statistical standpoint and he's 56 in the country when you look at all conferences. He's good, but he's not GREAT. He currently gets paid GREAT money.

Other people who got paid GREAT money - Xavier Worthy, Matthew Golden. He's categorically not the same as them on the field, potential wise I would say he's equal or close.

Production per $$ will slowly get adopted and it is going to hurt recruits. I am already to the point that I want the staff to go after 1 high end RB a year (stop with the 2 sh!t) and 2 WRs. Save the spots and money for the portal. Big game hunt at the skill positions in recruiting and backfill in the portal. Over recruit at positions of scarcity in the portal, OL and DL. Texas should get a legit GM, someone with NFL experience. NIL is basically your salary cap and you need to look at return on capital at the macro and micro levels.

yep, but guess what? Recruits don't matter. No one is playing for free including recruits. If you can't play out of HS then fuck off and go show that you are awesome somewhere else and then get paid in year 2.

It's harder for the developmental positions, but I imagine the bulk of the P5 is going to be more heavy with mature players who have been proven than young guys poppin' off very soon.

Of course production per $ has to be considered. Did he deliver the required ROI? Without knowing the numbers I’d guess no. BUT, it wasn’t all his fault. The OL and QB was also an issue. And he should get better. And he’s still a highly highly talented receiver who did have moments of excellence. You don’t run that off, UNLESS the NIL demands are out in left field.

Some 995 smoke that Endries might be declaring.

I hate that there are at least two threads for roster talk, one here and one in the recruiting forum, but I get it.

I am not as worried about TE. I think there is serious talent in that room receiving wise. What they lack in the room is an in-line TE. That isnt Endries.
