December 15Dec 15 Popular Post I'm not sure if this is the thread for this but there really isn't one so here goes: how the fuck has Michael Taaffe never won the Burlsworth Trophy (for outstanding former walk-on player). It's named after a player who went from walk-on to All American, something Taaffe LITERALLY DID. And yet, the 2024 winner was Bryce Boettcher from Oregon and the 2025 winner was the Mestemaker kid from UNT. They're both solid players, don't get me wrong, but more deserving of the "best walk-on award" than Taaffe?

This is the kind of snub that should get them delegitimized - or whatever the word you'd use for it is - as a major CFB award. This is just a really, REALLY awful decision on their part and it's based on a "rivalry" where their shitty school has lost more than 71% of the games. The folks in charge of the Burlsworth "award" should be fucking ashamed

Saturday at 04:59 PM4 days https://www.si.com/college/texas/football/new-texas-coaching-staff-hire-to-debut-in-bowl-game-vs-michigan Quote Following their worst rushing season since 1944, the Texas Longhorns decided to make a personnel change in terms of coaching. The Longhorns brought in former Florida Gators running backs coach Jabbar Juluke to replace the recently fired Chad Scott, looking to shake things up in 2026. However, it seems as though Texas fans and administrators won’t have to wait until next season to catch a glimpse of the new brain behind their rushing game. Quote New Texas Coaching Staff Hire to Debut in Bowl Game vs. Michigan The Texas Longhorns have switched things up with the hope of improving their rushing game, and their new hire will appear in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31. Sunday at 04:46 PM3 days It it will have been a month since we played and beat Aggys ass when we roll out a completely different looking team. I fully expect that it will look like ass water, but at least it’s football.
Sunday at 05:01 PM3 days Defensively, yes. The bulk of the offense will play except Moore and he disappears in games a lot so everything might look pretty normal.
