Crap.  heading to Michigan Wednesday to pick up a windshield for my old car. Right now it is 17 in North Alabama so maybe warmer up there. Just went and grabbed my ski jacket and other stuff for the journey.

I like this New England team, but their strength of schedule is by far the worst in the league at .374. Holy shit, I don't remember ever seeing one that weak this deep into the season.

Mired in one of the worst defensive seasons in franchise history, the New York Jets fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks on Monday, ending his tenure after only 14 games.

Coach Aaron Glenn, in his first staff shake-up, named defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Chris Harris the interim coordinator. Harris will call the plays for the final three games, with the defensive-minded Glenn assisting him during the week in game-planning.

"Listen, I just thought that from last week going to this week, the improvement wasn't there and I thought it was time to make a change," Glenn said on a Zoom call with reporters.

"I'm going to make the decision that's best for this organization at all times, and it's my job to make sure I continue to evaluate everything that's going on," he continued. "That's my job as the head coach, and I just thought this was the time for me to make that decision."

The move comes one day after a 48-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who scored on eight of their first nine possessions. The Jets (3-11) have allowed 82 points in the past two games, the highest back-to-back total since 2021.

I was given tickets on the 45 midway up for this game. I just shoveled more snow here outside HBG instead.

There are times where I miss having Steelers season tickets. This is not one of those times.

Damn, that's a slow-ass whistle with the brother being held up in the air.  Do the refs want to see some MMA or something?

Dolphins were way past the neutral zone, should have been a penalty and 1st down.

I shoveled today and it was not fun.

Both of my grandfathers were friends of The Chief and some of my uncles went to North Catholic with Dan Rooney and when the Steelers moved from Pitt Stadium to Three Rivers my Uncle Bill was allowed to pick his seats, very early, and he got three rows of 13 in a great location. They were awesome seats. I was deemed worthy of a ticket when I was 7. Over the years I was granted six in my name and I held on to them for a long time, even into Heinz Field but, after a while I was just tired of it all. Way back in the 70s Mom Nitter a blanket for our entire row, 13 seats, cuz it was all family. Those were fun days.

I honestly don’t miss going to the games. And I only go nowadays if I am working the games and they give me a parking pass. Otherwise, I am happy on the nice couch.

Dolphins look like a better team right now. Their defense is tackling very well.

Does anyone else hear Buck saying, “Tung-Oh-vai-lo-ah”

He landed awkwardly on that leg, looks like it could be a knee.

Ha. I was at that game. Western PA football playoffs had 4 games on Friday, Pitt played on Saturday. The field was destroyed.

They didn’t have time before Monday night to fully replace the sod so they just played the new layer on top.

A long rain delay right before the game and the field was just 8 inches of mud.

That’s cool. I knew you had connections, didn’t know they went straight to the top.

My dad and his friends had 16 tickets split 8/8 in the first two rows of the second level center of the end zone at three rivers. And with that stadium stacked like it was that was a great spot to watch the game from. It was a great family vibe growing up going to those games knowing everyone around us. We kept them into Heinz field but once the older guys started dying off and my dad got into his late 70s he started to lose interest and at the time it was hard for me to get to games very often.

The only games I really miss are the playoff games, but I guess the Steelers don’t really do those anymore.

Off to google if Wilson or Ewers is the #2 tonight, 'cause Tua is fucking awful.

He looks bad tonight. I admit I haven’t really watched them this season but, he just looks shell-shocked and indecisive.

Was that the game where the ball stuck in the mud after a punt like it was a lawn dart?

Tomlin teams are good for 2-3 games per year giving up multiple garbage time TDs and either making it look close or actually risking the loss.

No, don't do this, it is awful.  A punch to the nuts is more enjoyable.

The defense was beyond putrid but I’m done with Dak.

The Coaching Display was not good enough last night as well. Their complete lack of urgency, if I rooted for the Dolphins, would have driven me nuts.
