September 25, 20187 yr Heading there next month. Staying at the Ritz, so Palm Beach/Northwest side. Anyone have restaurant recommendations?
September 26, 20187 yr Hit the national park. It's cool. You can ATV, mountain bike, hike, etc. Rent a Jeep and cruise the NP and go to nearly deserted Baby Beach on the east side. Malmok Beach had very good snorkeling and wasn't very busy. Parking is right off the road. One tip is that every beach has free locals parking even if it looks like it's resort only. So if you rent a car, it's easy to park and use any beach. Restaurant wise, it can be expensive but there's a lot of variety though. I really liked Cuba Cookin'. The owner/chef is from Cuba. Chalan, a Peruvian restaurant, was great. Matthew's is excellent seafood, pricey, and beach front dining. Pelican Pier was a typical cheesy beach bar on a pier but holy fuck the seafood was great. My kids got the fried fish fingers and it may have been some of the best fried fish I've ever eaten. There's a really good Argentinian steak house but I didn't go there.
September 26, 20187 yr the local beer is shit, Balashi, Polar, etc. it's all crap. Scott's Brats down in from of Playa Linda is a great Brat stand. It's classic cheese and I love it every time: https://www.chaletsuisse-aruba.com/ Italian: http://www.annamariasaruba.com/ or Giani's Steaks: https://www.elgaucho-aruba.com/ or Daniel, and next door to your hotel in the Marriot is a Ruth's Chris upscale for Aruba: https://www.carteblanchearuba.com/ and https://www.2foolsandabull.com/ Gambling: the Ritz and the Marriot are the best casino's, followed by the Hyatt and then maybe the Riu.
